For almost a century, the Moonlight pack has been haunted by a creature they know only as 'the siren of the lake' - a shapeshifter with the ability to enchant men with her song before mercilessly murdering them.

The trail that they followed down eventually led them out of the forest and into a clearing with a dirt road down the middle of it, leading directly into the horizon. Adelaide paused and pointed at the lane that seemed never-ending as it blended with the landscape. 


“If we follow along this road, it should take us to the base of another mountain called Hudmere Mountain. That’s where the Royal Shift is.”


“The Royal Shift is on top of a mountain?” Damon asked, relatively surprised. 


“Not on top,” Adelaide replied. “Inside.” 


A rebellion…based inside of a mountain. That was the first he had ever heard of something like that, and with each passing day, he came to realize just how much of the world he hadn’t experienced outside of Moonlight.
