The sun began to set as Adelaide, Damon, and the rest of the members of Moonlight pack made their way back to where it all began for Damon: home. Three days had passed since their encounter with the Ascenders and in that time, things continued to change. 


The remaining followers of the Ascenders, who had switched sides after Kal and Gerard's deaths, were revealed to be in the same position as Adelaide’s mother and were biding their time until the moment was right to escape. Lucinda welcomed them into the Royal Shift with open arms, and under the instruction of Adelaide’s mother, who was the resident Chief of Staff, they began a new mission: to save those who couldn’t save themselves.
