Chapter Sixteen | Avalon

Right when I wake up, I’m smiling from ear to ear. Memories of the night prior flood my mind, making my heart nearly pound out of my chest. I can still feel his lips on mine… those strong hands grabbing my waist dominantly.

I have to stop my brain before it goes too far. I stretch out my arms, hoping my sleepiness fades away soon.

Suddenly, my stomach turns and I rush to the bathroom to empty its contents. I groan, collapsing to the floor beside the toilet. Ever since I started taking those chemo pills, my stomach has been relentless.

I close my eyes and try to calm the nausea, realizing I can’t stay on the bathroom floor all day.
