Chapter Twenty-Seven | Jackson

I take the bag of peas off my cheek and throw it back in the freezer, shutting the door without a second thought. Today, I am going to find out every dark secret Alexander is hiding so I can break up him and Avalon.

Anybody who can throw punches like that definitely has a past, and I am nothing if not hungry for revenge. After all, he ruined my best feature. I eye my reflection in the mirror one last time before grabbing my coat and exiting the apartment.

I make my way down the city streets, heading for the busiest spot in San Francisco: The Bourbon and Branch Bar. Avalon mentioned it while she was cleaning up my wounds the other night. I know she denies it, but the connection we have is incomparable. I mean look at the way she came to my rescue when I needed her.

My plan is to stalk Alexander until I find out something juicy enough to tell Avalon. Everybody has a past, so my plan is almost full proof.
