"Please, don't go," I whispered as I started kissing her neck once again.

"We can't do this, Triton," she told me. "It is killing us, and it is destroying our families. Imagine how the pack would react if they were to discover us here? If they discovered that you were in the woods with me, kissing and caressing? As much as I love you and as much as we are mates, we are also enemies, Triton."

"No!" I said, my face still buried in her neck. "I don't care what they think! I don't care what will happen! All I want is you."

I brushed her cheek with my thumb. I saw her eyes peering back at me from her spring-like eyes. They were so alive and full of hope. I could not help but feel they held the whole universe inside them. 


“Your eyes always make me want to deep dive inside,” I told her without thinking through how strange that sounded. “I mean, you know, they look so cool and inviting, and  I wish I could be completely immersed inside of them.”


She giggled and nuzzled my nose with her nose. “I know what you meant,” she told me happily. “And, thank you for that. I love your eyes too. They seem to be grounded and reasonable. Something I wish there were more of in the world.”


I laughed as I looked down and thought about how to respond. But, I could not think of what to say. I just knew I liked the feeling, and I liked feeling immersed in her. But, I could not think of the words to say. So, instead, my body just decided to take the reigns.
