Chapter 63: It is Your Fault!

*** Ariana's POV***

I rang the doorbell to Alex's front door. I knew Triton was out in the distance watching me, which made me feel a little safer. But, now that I was here, I wondered why he wanted to see me. And what I could offer him that he needed to see me. My palms felt cold and clammy.

I heard movement to my side, and I saw Alex coming around the bend. Alex's house has a huge wrap-around porch, and he must have been on the swing chair the whole time.

"Hey, come sit down," he gestured to the chair. I felt awkward. The last time I sat in this chair, I was making out with him last summer. The world was full of changes, wasn't it?

"Don't worry," he said, obviously seeing my hesitancy. "I knew Triton was nearby, and I will not risk pissing him off. I don't know your situation with him, and I don't want to know. But I know that if anyone tries to hurt you, he's on them immediately. Besides, that is not why I asked you here. I need some clarity, Ariana."
