The Beta

Rule Cahill was by his locker when the bell for the first class rang. It was eight in the morning. Last night had faded away, but had lingered on even after daybreak. Senior year was also here, and he dreaded every bit of it as he shoved his diary into his locker.

The pages of that book contained detailed information on the life of Nathaniel Ashford and every other paranormal investigation he had been a part of. This was his tenth record diary of research. He took these things more seriously than his older brother, who couldn't care less.

While he was it at it, he noticed someone walk through the entrance of Willow Heights.
