Chapter 29: Second Beast Tide

Everyone's vision momentarily went black and when everyone's vision came back, they all saw that they had come to a vast wasteland that didn't seem to have an end. For those earlier residents, they had recognized this place as the battlefield for the last Beast Tide.

This time, nobody was panicking but all were excited instead. Quinn had posted before that every Beast Tide, each person could quickly accumulate contribution points which they could either exchange to money or just directly trade it for treasures.

A few minutes had passed by when a long line of seemingly endless beasts appeared on the horizon. This time, there were already hundreds of millions of non-tiered monsters alone. In addition, there were also millions of Tier 1 monsters together with thousands of Tier 2 monsters.

Anyone else who saw this scene would probably die from fright even before the monsters had already arrived. Not Sky Town residents though. For them, this was a great levelling opportunity. Furthermore, Quinn and the elves were backing them in case they couldn't deal with the beasts.

Before they were about to charge, they had received notifications from Quinn telling them to try and avoid using skills that could completely destroy their bodies.

The adventurers knew that Quinn was planning to trigger another Impure uprising and they were even more excited. The Impures were an even bigger levelling opportunity for them since they provided double the xp. Even if dungeon monsters provide more xp, Impures would be coming in waves and there would be millions of them.

Of course, this was also an opportunity for Quinn to level up and reach Tier 3. He directly activated his skills and started bombarding the beasts like a gatling gun. Aside from the [FIRE ARROWS] he had also gotten arrow skills from other elements so he could shoot them all out at the same time.

This painted a terrifying but beautiful scene as arrows of different colors flashed across the eyes. Fire arrows burned, ice arrows froze enemies, earth arrows smashed, wind arrows penetrated and lightning arrows scorched and paralyzed. Each magic arrow had their own effects.

The adventurers were amazed for a moment before bursting with a wild fighting intent. They didn't want to be left behind by too much by their Mayor.

The most intense auras came from Sumi and Michael. At first, they just wanted to keep up with Quinn but then ended up competing among each other on who could kill more at the shortest time possible.

This time, Michael had finally won over Sumi after levelling up ahead of Sumi. It looked like Michael had really worked had before just to surpass Sumi this time.

Sumi sulked for a moment before becoming even more violent and killed monsters faster and faster. Michael didn't let himself be outdone and didn't slow down either.

Halfway through the battle, a small explosion sounded out with Quinn at the center of it. A yellow aura burst out from his body bringing with it a tiny shockwave.

This indicated the Tier 3. Quinn had finally reached Tier 3 after endless slaughtering. Seeing this, the fighting intent coming from Michael burst out even stronger. Sumi was displeased since it looked like Michael didn't treat her as an opponent anymore and set his eyes on Quinn instead.

Following the level up, Quinn received a bunch of notifications. First of all, he had achieved one requirement to build a city recognized by the world's laws and that the people he could summon per day had multiplied. Next were the matters about skill evolutions. After levelling them up, they could all achieve small evolutions.

The biggest change for Quinn was of course still the Skill Overlord System. Aside from Skill Bestow, he had gained another feature and that was Skill Replication. Just as the name says, he can copy skills from other beings. The only restriction was that he could only do it once a day.

For now, Quinn wasn't really that excited about obtaining because he still hasn't seen a skill that was worthy of his awesomeness. Still, it was a pretty op ability and Quinn could use to it smack some arrogant "young masters" who boasts special skills.

Quickly pulling himself away from distractions, Quinn redirected his focus on the battlefield and found that the others were still dealing with the monsters just fine.

A few hours later, the Beast Tide was completely wiped out. Since it was a complete wipe out with very minimal casualties, it was another perfect clear and they received another wave of rich rewards.

Quinn has received another Territory Awakening Scroll in addition to a General Class card. The Territory Awakening Scroll was just like before and could awaken the territory's population's talents.

Quin paid more attention to the General Class card since it was a new thing. Quickly reading the details, Quinn felt that the card was pretty useful. It could basically awaken one person into having the General Class. A general was important in upgrading to a city because one of the requirements were to build your own small military force and a military force wouldn't be recognized by the system of it didn't have a general leading it.

Sky Town just recently awakened a general which would make the card seem redundant but the card could also be used to a person who already awakened a General Class and enhance that person's talent further. They could come up with more effective strategies and also given more status bonuses.

Aside from that, Quinn did receive a few more resources but he didn't look at them and just threw them to the warehouse.

With that, the Beast Tide finally concluded and it was time to go back. But before that, Quinn gathered the dead bodies once more into one giant lump of corpses and started refining them with his skill. Because his puppet slots had all been occupied, he could only store the refined flesh and soul power.

After he was done, he made a post on the Area Channel and warned all the players who were still inside to prepare themselves since another massive Impure uprising is coming.

At this point, the players already knew that Quinn and Sky Town were intentionally doing it after finding out the first time that they're a massive source of xp. Sadly, the Impure were still too strong for them and could only envy Sky Town residents as they collected these xp bags.
