He was seated in the dining room chair with a variety of dishes on the table. He took a deep inhale and relished the aroma before stuffing his face.
(This is a lot of food for one person. Are you sure you can eat it all?)
"I feel like I can eat it all. I have never felt this hungry in my entire life."
!Rumble~!
"Ok, that's enough talking."
He could no longer resist the urge to consume everything in sight as his stomach began to grumble, alerting him to its presence.
He grabbed a large mouthful of rice while grabbing the chicken leg piece that had been soaked in gravy.
Just to add to it, there are also some finely chopped, lemon-squeezed onions and some eggs with a sprinkling of salt on top.
After 15 minutes, the rice he prepared in a full cooker is almost finished. Furthermore, there is no longer any chicken.
After another ten minutes, all that is left are the eggs, which he quickly retrieves before they go.
!NOM~NOM!
Did you believe it to be it? If so, you were mistaken. Eat some of the salad he cooked right now. He made a salad for what reason?
It was a typical instance of human nature. He was so ravenous that he didn't consider if he could eat it before making whatever came to him first.
It's comparable to ordering excessive amounts of food at a restaurant when you're too full to rationally make decisions.
Fortunately, he still has some room in his stomach, so this salad won't go to waste.
Karma took hold of the salad dish and drew it up to his face. A few apples were included in the salad along with some tomatoes, cucumbers, and onions.
Do you think this combination seems a little odd? But as if that weren't enough, he also added some lemon juice and Chat masala (a salad/vegetable powder) to give it a better texture.
!Munch~Munch!
Karma devoured everything on the table before getting up from his chair, gathering the soiled dishes, and going to the sink.
He began washing the dishes after placing all of the filthy ones in the sink. He was so energized that he did not even take a little break before washing the dishes.
"You did eat everything," said the demon in surprise.
"Of course, I told you I was hungry." The way he said it made it sound like he was stating the obvious.
(Oh, that's right, here)
The demon pulled something from behind and showed it to him.
"Huh... Where did you find that?"
(I was looking around the house and happened to come across this.)
The book the devil was reading while doing push-ups was the one he was holding in his hands.
"This brings back memories."
Karma immediately had a sense of nostalgia upon receiving the book from the demon.
The book had a name on the cover which said 'HOW TO FIGHT' and was about self-defense and other fighting techniques that his father, "Aryan," handed him when he was a kid.
"Dad gave this to me so I could learn self-defense, but the chance never came to try it. And after some time, I completely forgot about it."
He questioned the demon, holding the book in front of him, "What do you want to do with this?"
(I went through what was in there and it seemed quite useful. Karma, starting tomorrow, you will imprint everything written in that book inside your mind)
This surprised me as much as it appeared ridiculous. He wants Karma to remember all that is spoken here, even though most people cannot read a whole book in a single day.
And as if that weren't enough, he wants Karma to make use of all the knowledge and strategies presented here in the little amount of time available.
This cannot be accomplished in a short period. How could he when it takes years for someone to advance from a novice to a professional fighter?
"I don't know what your thinking process is, but this is not possible to do with the current lack of time we have."
He made several valid arguments. Karma talked with the common sense of a human, but the demon couldn't care less about that.
(There is a reason why I offered an alliance to you when I could have chosen any other human. It is because you have the potential to grow. After all, you are a genius)
Karma lost sight of his social position as a result of everything that was going on in his life. He lost sight of the fact that he was regarded as a genius with superior intelligence.
But this was only natural. A person enters the depths of absolute despair when his life reaches its lowest point. He experienced the same sensation again and over again.
He groaned and decided to put up with it, giving in to the demon's demand. "I can memorize the book if that's what you want. But not even I can master a subject in a single day."
He was partially in agreement with the devil trying to compel him to complete the task.
(Don't worry, you don't need to utilize everything written here; you just need to memorize. I will help you with actual fighting)
He might be able to memorize the book if that's all there is to it. He was having problems comprehending the demon's role in his training for the real methods.
Even though he had his doubts, he chose to believe the demon since everything that had been done to this point had been to his advantage.
Don't get me wrong, he still has suspicions about him, so Karma won't attempt to let his guard down just yet.
"Fine then, I'll memorize this book. It will be hard, but it's still doable"
Knowing he was in for a long night, Karma concentrated on doing the dishes when the monster disappeared.
