As I unlocked the door, I heard my name being called and after I managed to unlock it, I turned around so see Nate already climbing the stairs towards me.

"What?" I asked before he leaned down to place a quick kiss on my lips.

"I missed you too." he said. "Goodnight."

I stared at his back as he walked back, my heart beating thousand miles an hour.

I didn’t get much sleep that night and when I woke up in the morning to a cloudy sky I was literally so happy and in a good mood that it was scary.

My grandma even asked if I was alright at lunch to which I smiled and nodded. Then she informed me that Nate was back and that she overheard someone talking about Felicia Harris’s death and my heart stopped and my entire happiness drained from my body.
