"C’mon." he said and opened the door, holding it open for me. I collected my underwear from the floor and he made a face as I passed by him, making me laugh.

However, the laugh died when I saw Katherine just coming down the hallway. She stopped at the sight of us and I felt my cheeks burn.

"Um…" I started but I couldn’t speak, this was so embarrassing.

"Hello Renee. Nate. I was just bringing up your uhm, clothes." she stuttered and I could tell this was awkward for her too.

"Yeah thanks." Nate muttered and walked past me to get the clothes from her hand. "What are we having for lunch?"

"You’re going to have lunch with us?" she asked surprised, but her face lit up.

Nate turned his head to me, with a questioning look. "Are we?" he asked and I found myself nodding.

"That’s wonderful! We’re having spaghetti Bolognese."

Nate shrugged and entered his room.
