The rest of us decided to go for pizza at the restaurant nearby and I texted Nate informing him where he could find us.

"Since when are you and Nate together?" Sean asked.

Everyone at the table was silent, waiting for my answer.

"Um, we’re not really ‘together’. I mean, I don’t know."

"He’s usually okay with me flirting with a girl he’s been before."

I shrugged and turned to Kaylee, trying to get the attention off me. However that wasn’t possible, because Sean kept asking questions that made me uncomfortable. I couldn’t even explain how relieved I felt when I saw Nate walking towards us.

Hannah got out of the booth and said ‘Ladies first’, inviting Nate to sit down in her place (next to me).

"So what tattoo did you get?" Jake asked as the pizzas came.

"Changed my mind." Nate shrugged and leaned back against the couch, putting his arm behind my seat.
