Chapter Thirty-Nine

Talia's POV:

After our heartwarming getting to know each other, he led me back to the house, driving Louis and me, in a boat. I wasn't mad at him. I didn't seek revenge. I wasn't just feeling any type of way. According to the doctors, I was safe. That was what they simply said to me. I didn't get what direction their safe was taking.

Getting back to the house, he led me to his bedroom. My heart began to pound in fear and anticipation of what was to come. Was he going to try to take me even with the severe bruises I had on me? Or, was he going to show me that he could be different? In fact, I just prayed that he would surprise me by all means. Maintaining that sweet side of him that I just discovered back at the hospital. But if he wanted it, I won't put up a fight. For now, fighting with him would only get me hurt and nothing more. I will just pretend to go along with whatever made him happy until my perfect moment of escaping presented itself.
