Chapter Eighty-One

Talia's POV:

The moment Louis started opening herself up to me, she became different. Friendlier and our relationship noticeably changed. She was always with me when I painted and when she was occupied with making our food, she allowed me to have my time and explore the island more without the fear that I still wanted to escape. Well, most of that plan had left my mind. The island, I noticed, was a very beautiful, peaceful and creative place. I got deeper and deeper into my painting and acting hobbies. Occasionally, after I begged endlessly, she allowed me to cook a few times. I studied and got to know the kind and loving woman behind all that disciplined and harsh mask.

"I know you might think that you are unfortunate," she said one day as we were by the beach together, "but believe me, Talia, Nicholas really does care about you. You are very lucky to have someone like him."

"Lucky? Why?"
