Chapter Eighty-Eight

Talia's POV:

He was still asleep when I woke up the second time. He looked at peace and very happy. He had woken me up with a lot of emotions on his face and embedded in his words. It was still early, 6:20 am. I was tangled up with him, legs, arms, it was nice. For some reason, we were both on the opposite end of the bed, heads down at the footboard, and I was on the side he usually slept on. I rolled away, went to the washroom, put a bathrobe on and went downstairs.

Louis wasn't up yet. I looked out the stained-glass window panes that flanked the front door on both sides and saw how peaceful it was outside. Somehow, I wanted peace and to be left alone.

Slowly and quietly, I walked out of the house, keeping my pace steady until I arrived where Nicholas and I rested yesterday after our race.
