Chapter One hundred and Thirteen

Nicholas's POV:

I kept pushing to find out if I was truly occupying Talia's heart or just an option.

"Stop being petty." Her mouth tightened. "I can't let any man touch me. I'm too fucked up to be with a normal man now."

I lifted my eyebrows, amused despite myself. She was no longer the frightened girl I brought to the island. Somewhere along the way, my little Talia grew some sharp claws and was starting to learn how to use them. Aggressive, expressive and intuitive more than I thought.

"That's good." I ran my fingers playfully across her cheek, then bent my head to inhale her sweet scent. "Nobody is allowed to touch you, baby. Nobody but me."

She didn't respond, just continued looking at me. She didn't need to say anything. We understood each other perfectly. I knew I would kill any man who laid a finger on her, and she knew it too.
