CHAPTER 18: A TRIP

In the following days, Juan spent her days shopping and receiving her deliveries. She assembled the furniture she bought online and her small apartment was now better than it was before.

She also went to pick up her small car which made her happier than everything else. She was a little bit sad that in these past few days, she had not spoken to Irene.

As much as she wanted to speak to Irene, she knew that the other wasn’t ready as Juan didn’t want to dampen her own mood because of people with messy brains.

Juan had also been busy planting her crops, harvesting and selling them to her clients and she was earning quite a lot which was a good thing. She didn’t know when she was going to save enough money for the surgery but she was someone with a lot of faith.

After sorting out everything, Juan found herself on the farm looking through the documents on the farm screen to see if there was something that could be of great help to her.

She wanted to purchase something from the store but it required gems and she only has one gem and that wasn’t enough to even unlock the category she wanted.

Her dream was to at least find something that can help her with her current predicament and stop thinking about the surgery. If there was something she could get to get rid of the scars, she will even climb all the way to a volcano mountain if it is necessary.

After browsing through for a long time as she watched as those cabbages mature and harvested them, she finally found something that was helpful. She had been having these strange thoughts of finding exotic plants from the outside to upgrade her farm but never did it before.

And now she saw that it was also helpful and this meant that instead of leveling up slowly by planting, harvesting, and selling her produce, she could just go hunting and gather some herbs or some plants that could be of great help.

This is how Juan decided to go to a nearby mountain that was out of the city but a few hours away from Zlila. With a car now, Juan was able to go anywhere and all she needed was fuel and money.

The following days, Juan was busy purchasing food and a gas stove for cooking. Juan wasn’t planning on sleeping in the wild as she was someone with a moving house and farm.

So, she bought clothes necessary to go hiking and any other items she found necessary for the trip. She didn’t know how long this trip was going to take but she was going to drive her car along.

It was now nearly two weeks since she arrived in Zlila and Juan who had everything prepared locked her doors, and took the elevator to the underground parking where her small car was parked.

Looking at the big cars, fancy cars that were parked all over the place, a vinegar scent could be smelled in the underground parking.

“One day, I will be living high!” Juan comforted herself as she made her way to her own grey car.

At least the car was reliable and in good condition. She drove the car out and the first thing she did when she drove out of the complex was to go to a nearby service station where she filled her tank and swiped her card like a rich lady.

After that, she drove like a law-abiding citizen while she listened to some music. When she was hungry, she stopped by some drive-in and bought some food, and ate it in the car.

The thought of being gawked at didn’t sit well with her. Juan left the city around eight in the morning and by the time she reached the small town where this particular mountain was, it was already around four in the afternoon.

Juan was not planning on just ditching her car anywhere so she decided to pay for some parking and let the professional take care of it. After getting out of the car and filling in the necessary documents, she carried a satchel as she couldn’t go without anything.

She didn’t want to be a suspicious individual after all. Juan found a perfect entrance to the mountain even though the place was a bit desolate.

Juan was planning on taking her time to explore the mountain and pick anything that will be of great help to her. She stood at the bottom of the mountain and gulped down the spiritual water as she now calls it.

She could no longer drink any water after tasting her farm water. all she had to do was fill in her empty water bottles and drink to her heart’s content. By the time she started climbing the mountain or tried to it was already around five and it was getting dark.

In other words, she couldn’t go anywhere as it was getting dark but she needed to get away from the road so that when the sun rises the next day, she will be somewhere safe and far.

Juanita walked slowly at a pace of a snail as her eyes darted around looking for any plant or weed, she had never seen before but everything was just familiar so she tried her luck.

She pulled around a number of plants and sent them telepathically into the farm, she pulled a smile when she heard a notification she had never heard before.

[Plant species found, **** points have been added, keep up the good work.]

[Plant species found; no points added.]

These notifications kept on ringing in her head and Juan was over the moon. At least now she was sure that she shouldn’t look down on any plant as she had no idea which plant will make her dream come true.

After pulling almost every weed and plant she had not picked before for an hour, Juanita decided that it was time for her to retire. Juanita then flashed back into the farm and checked on the plants she had sent into the farm and there was no way to be found.

She wasn’t sad as she knows that something good has come out of this little trip of hers and since she was famished, she went to clean up first before cooking her supper using the gas stove.
