Ram's Last Thought

Ram had his Beta toss Tymarie into the passenger seat of his truck and buckle her up.

"You sure you don't want me or one of the guys to ride with you?" Beta Payne asked.

"I think I can handle a little prissy female." Ram dismissed Payne with the motion of his hand.

The beta disappeared off to his own car as Ram jumped up into the driver's seat of his bug truck and started the loud engine. He looked over the female slumped unconscious beside him. She really was a beautiful girl, but what the hell was he going to do with her now. He thought of a few ideas as he got a glimpse of her cleavage peeking out from her dress.

His pack's territory was only thirty minutes from there, although the two territories and packs were nothing alike. The Azzora Moon Pack's territory was filled with rich homes, country clubs, fancy restaurants, and more concrete than trees. The Darkest Moon pack's territory was filled with farms, trailers, low-income housing, and plenty of woods to roam in.

Ram's pack was also a lot tougher and rougher than the privileged dickheads of the Azzora. The Azzora didn't run under the moon nowadays as they should. The weaklings were too worried about getting dirty or missing a golf tee time. Abandoning the moon so often had led to most of the pack members being weaker and slower than they should be. A lot of the higher-up packs were like that now, even if they didn't want to admit it. They were still wolves and could still turn, but Alpha's like Ram could feel the difference in the aura and presence from packs like Azzora.

Taking a sharp turn too fast caused Tymarie to flop over and fall onto Ram. Her head landed directly on his lap and he had to force himself not to focus on how close her perfectly plump lips were to his cock, but the bumpy wasn't helping matters.

He noticed the wound on the female's temple and grew angry. Sure, they did need to shut the chick up and get her out of there without more struggle, but he and his men would've handled it better. Seeing her father's beta hit her made him see red. It took everything in him not to rip the male's head off. Lucky for him, and Greg, his own Beta Payne could feel his emotion and quickly got the unconscious girl away and diffused the situation.

This was a business transaction, nothing more. He had to keep reminding himself of this. Her father needed his help for hire, and she was the cherry on top of a shit ton of money he charged the fool. Still, he couldn't ignore that moment he had with the female when they first caught eyes.

Shit. The girl was beginning to wake up. She was moaning and stretching, certainly still stunned from the blow to the head. There were only minutes away from his house when Tymarie sat up from his lap and looked around his truck in confusion.

"You have got to be fucking kidding me!" She blurted out as she finally became alert enough to speak.

"Just calm down." He told her.

"Calm down? Calm down!" The girl became hysterical, lounging at him and scratching his face before grabbing the steering wheel and jerking the truck to the other side of the road.

Ram barely missed an oncoming car as she threw his truck in front of it. He pulled the wheel back into the right lane and tried to gain control again, but the crazy chick's hands were still gripping the steering wheel and fighting with him.

He kept one hand on the wheel, fighting for control, as his other reached out and grabbed Tymarie and pushed her away. The girl was feisty, but he was way too strong for her. Her little body went flying to the other side of the truck and slammed against the door. The sound of her back hitting the door made him instantly regret pushing her away so hard, but sometimes he didn't even know his own strength. Besides, she was going to get them both killed in a crash if he didn't physically stop her.

"Are you okay?" He instantly apologized as he looked over at her to make sure she was alright.

Tymarie made eye contact with him for a moment, and he felt that same pull at his heart that he had when he first saw her earlier that evening. Her blonde hair was in a mess around her flushed pink cheeks and her make-up was smeared from the struggle she's been through, but damn that female was beautiful.

In fact, he was so caught up in her beauty that he didn't see her foot coming as she kicked him right in the chest. It happened so fast that he lost control and the truck went off the road into the grass and slid sideways, landing just inches from a tree as he slammed on the brakes. The girl wasted no time, as she threw the door open and jumped out of his truck.

The road was in the middle of nowhere, with nothing but acres of woods on each side of the white lines. It was miles of forest and farms, and he knew if he didn't catch her fast that she would be lost to him. Ram darted out of his truck and gave chase to the female.

Running through the trees and brush came naturally to Ram. He was at one with the land. His wolf loved the earth beneath him, and his wolf loved to hunt. So, the moment Tymarie ran, she became the prey, and he became the predator. This was his world, and she didn't stand a chance.

She hadn't made it far into the woods when he caught up and pounced on her, tackling her to the ground and flipping her over onto her back. Tymarie screamed out, but there was no one nearby to hear her.

"Enough!" He told her.

"Get off of me!" Tymarie smacked him across the face.

Ram had to give the girl credit; he never expected a female from an upper pack to have such fight in her. He'd known great female warrior wolves from many packs, but not packs like the privileged Azzora pack that didn't train or roam under the moon like the lower more devoted packs like his.

He grabbed her hands and pinned her arms on the ground by her head. Growing even more hysterical, the girl growled loudly at him. In response, he let out a huge ferocious roar into her face. His aura filled the air, and his eyes began to glow.

He was an alpha; way stronger and more powerful than her, but as he held her down and let her see his wolf's intensity, Tymarie stood her ground and kept glaring into her eyes. This was rare for weaker wolves to do, let alone a female. Especially a spoiled rich brat that he was sure had never connected with the moon like the strong do.

Finally, after a long stare, Tymarie submitted and turned away, exposing her neck to him.

"I don't want to hurt you," Ram said.

"Do what you have to do." Tymarie sighed. "I've heard the stories. I know what you and your males do to females."

He wondered what she meant by that, but the sight of her bare neck below him had him distracted. Her soft skin looked delicious, and his eyes scanned from her neck to her large breasts that were pushing out from the top of her dress.

"Ram?" Payne's voice interrupted the moment as his beta made his way through the woods to find him.

Damn it. The alpha and beta always have a connection that allows them to sense one another's location, emotions, and needs. He should've sensed his beta coming up sooner than he had, but he was too distracted by Tymarie beneath him.

"Is everything alright?" His beta asked as he got closer. "I saw your truck by the road. What happened?"

"Princess here is what happened." Ram got up, pulling Tymarie up to her feet by her wrist as he stood to his feet. "She caused us to go off the road."

"Maybe if you could take a hit, you wouldn't have gone off the road." Tymarie yanked her arms, but he was too strong for her to get loose from his grip.

Payne chuckled as he watched Ram fussing with the female.

"I thought you could handle her by yourself?" His beta teased.

"Here, you get her back to the truck." Ram handed Tymarie over to Payne, but Payne wasn't expecting the girl to be as scrappy as she was, and he lost control of her within seconds.

The female took off, running from his beta almost as soon as Payne took her from Ram. The alpha was anticipating it this time though and snatched her up just as quickly as she had taken off from the beta. Ram picked her up and tossed her over his shoulder.

"Not as easy as you thought, huh?" Ram smirked at his beta.

Payne shook his head and followed as Ram carried Tymarie back to the truck, her arms wailing and her mouth running each step of the way.

"This is kidnapping. This is against the law!" She kept saying.

"Human law." Ram corrected her. "You uppers tend to forget that we aren't human."

"Their laws don't apply to us," Payne added.

Tymarie looked up at the beta and growled. The males both laughed at her as they made their way out of the woods and back to the truck.

"You've got to give her credit, she's feistier than any other upper bitch I've ever met." Ram playfully smacked the female's ass, and she yelped out in anger and surprise.

The two of them were fighting to get her into Ram's truck when two black SUVs came into sight up ahead on the road. Instead of driving by, the SUVs stopped in the middle of the road, side by side. Part of being wolf was having natural instincts and these primal instincts were setting off alarms inside of him.

"Get in the truck and lock the doors." He ordered Tymarie.

"What?" She stopped fighting as her own instincts must've picked up on the urgency in his voice. "Why? What's wrong?"

"Just listen to me and get in the damn truck." He put his keys in her hand, holding her hand in his as their eyes met for a quick moment. "If things go bad, you get the hell out of here. You hear me?"

The female pulled her hand away and slammed the truck door closed.

"Who are they?" His Beta asked as they scanned the SUVs for answers.

"I don't know, but get ready, somethings not right." The words had barely left Ram's lips when the doors to the SUVs opened and six males total got out.

The Alpha and his Beta didn't wait for the men to attack. They rushed at them full force, fighting with everything they had. Ram wasn't scared. He loved a good battle, and the men they were up against were mere humans with hardly the speed or strength as werewolves, especially an Alpha or Beta.

The weapons the humans were carrying made it clear that this was a fight to the death. One man came at him with a knife, but Ram dodged it and slammed the man's face so hard on the ground that he heard the crack of his skull. A second man tried to stab him, and failed as well, resulting in Ram's killing him easily by ripping the man's throat out with his teeth

A metal bat swung right past his face as Ram sensed it just in time to move only centimeters away from being hit. Counteracting, Ram swept the man's feet out from under him and broke the enemy's neck with his bare hands.

To his left, his Beta was fighting just as great and fierce, defeating the men that were attempting to kill him. Payne had the last man by the neck when the sound of a gun rocked their ears. Payne's shoulder filled with blood as the bullet hit him, but he managed to kill the man he had a hold of before releasing his grip.

Ram cried out for his Beta, but then he heard the second gunshot echo all around them. This time, the bullet hit him, and his stomach burst with pain. He turned to see that they hadn't known there was a seventh man that emerged from the SUV. The man was only ten feet away, pointing the gun at his chest.

"Why are you doing this?" Ram fell to the ground, but still growled at the man. "Who sent you?"

The man grinned and then aimed the gun at Ram's head, a guaranteed kill for a wolf. Just as the human was about to pull the trigger, someone came from behind and hit the man in the back of the head. Ram was shocked to see Tymarie standing there with a tire iron, but before he could stop her from killing the man that had answers to who ordered the attack, the female lifted the tire iron again and slammed it down onto the man's head.

She then fell beside his lifeless body and began to sob. Ram wanted to be angry that she had robbed him of answers, but she had also saved his life, and it was obvious that her heart was torn by the action she had just been forced to take.

"Alpha!" Payne yelled as he rushed to Ram's side.

By now, blood was pouring out from his stomach.

"Help me get him to the truck!" Payne called out to Tymarie.

The female listened for once and hurried to Ram's side. The two of them helped Ram to his feet and guided him to the truck.

"She's got more balls than her father." Ram chuckled and then winced as it hurt him to laugh.

"Shh," Payne told him. "Save your energy. You need to use it to heal."

"I don't think this is going to heal," Ram spoke the hard truth. "We both know that."

"Don't say that." Tymarie scolded him. "You're going to be just fine."

"Now you care, huh?" Ram teased.

He was surprised to see tears in her eyes though, and he wished he'd have been kinder to her in the small amount of time they'd known each other.

"Just shut up and get in the truck," Tymarie demanded, but before he could try, he collapsed.

The last thing he saw before going unconscious was her beautiful face, and he thought, what a wonderful way to die.
