Chapter forty-six

It felt like the remaining part of the day passed so quickly and the next day came.

And I was still in a daze of what happened.

It was not a good option to stay close to someone I'm working with, especially as an undercover in their agency.

He saw Charlie, what would he think of me. I should move but it won't be easy to find another place.

Also, I'm almost out of money.

I made sure to cover Charlie's scent this time. I got to work on time to start the past day's work I missed.

And it was a lot.

I also noticed something his eyes followed me around, be it the vending machine, the office cafeteria where he had joined me to eat but didn't start a conversation.

When I was talking to a colleague and stared at me from his seat.

"It looks like Alex has been staring at you for a while now," she said with a small giggle.
