Chapter seventy

"Let's follow the tracks, it seems fresh," I said, not hesitating to go ahead.

"I seem to be following you into danger, very often," Blake said 

It wasn't far off the building; the tall tree blanketed the forest floor, making it humid.

While outside the tall tree was windy and dry. Under here it was calm and humid.

The gushing of water was heard not far from where we stood.

I followed the roaring sounds to the massive waterfall, just across the cliff I stood above.

"Blake see this-

" Watch out," Blake shouted as he pushed me getting shot in the shoulder. I fell off the cliff, it all happened so slowly before I could even register that we were under attack. I found myself splashing into the cold water.

The pressure from the waterfall kept me under until I was pushed to the calm river. I swam back up taking in a deep breath, only to see a rifle being pointed at me floating in the water.

I went under, going out their aim.
