Present Day
There were two training grounds within the Fae High Court.
The first was a pristinely grassed area surrounded by balconies upon which giggling courtiers could gather and admire the prowess of the noble born knights who trained below.
It was the courtyard where Macedius’ men had tied Sylvin down to be whipped after his refusal to warm the King’s bed. The experience had been a revelation for the King as it was the first time that Macedius’ had realised that he would never completely tame the Silver Dragon, that Sylvin remained for his own reasons and not because of Macedius’ control.
Neither Macedius nor Sylvin had set foot in that training ground since.
The second training ground was where Sylvin led Greshyn, located not far from the slave pens, and used to train raw recruits, pages, and squires, and by the common born soldiers to maintain their skills and strength for battle.
