Present Day
Crossing the channel by ship was a treacherous journey, and one that took almost two days due to the submerge rocks requiring ships to navigate a narrow and winding route. Sylvin, however, overflew the hazards, skimming through the air, feeling the warm currents filling the sails of his wings, and watching as the little passenger ship’s decks filled with staring and pointing people as his shadow dragged over them. His scales sparkled like the water below him, refracting the sunlight like diamonds.
The crossing took him hours, rather than days.
As he neared the other shore, he deliberately flew down the coast from where the city of Zendayis crowded the shore. He did not want to draw attention to himself. Macedius’ Lord of the Silver Dragon was too well known that seeing a silver dragon in the sky would cause alarm.
He needed to determine if there were dragons in Zendayis as rumoured and what their allegiance was to King Beiwarin.
