Decisions, Painful Memories

"I take it you're the one who brought me here"

"Indeed I am, my name is Ryuji Sakamoto but you can call me Mr Ryuji"

"I see... I appreciate your assistance"

Yuta's voice was low and direct which told Mr Sakamoto that he wasn't much of a talker so he also didn't see the need to bother with random small talks and decided to get straight to the point.

Mr Ryuji coughed a bit to clear his throat so his voice could transmit what he wanted to say without fear of it being too gravely. After clearing his throat Mr Sakamoto sat down on a chair that was placed next to the bed for visitors to sit on.

The man summed up Yuta cautiously since he wasn't wearing any combat equipment and the seemingly fragile young man sitting on a hospital bed next to him had just turned his previously lively comrade into a bloody corpse.

"I'm here to ask you a few questions and I hope that you can willingly comply with me."

"Oh, is that all? In that case please go ahead and ask whatever your heart desires and I'll answer you to the best of my ability because I've got nothing to hide."

"...!!"

Mr Ryuji was taken aback never did he ever expect Yuta to be so cooperative but that also made him feel very unsure whether or not to trust in his words since he didn't believe that Yuta would so easily reveal his secrete which was so terrifying that it scared the colour out of his partner but since he had no other option at the moment the had no choice but to listen to whatever bull shit that! ay, come out of Yuta's mouth.

...

"This-this can't be!... How-how's this even possible!?"

After hearing what he wanted to hear Mr Ryuji suddenly felt like he was better off not knowing because now that he knew he couldn't just leave it at that because Yuta was simply too dangerous of a person to let roam free in a place filled with so many youths living in the academy.

Although Mr Ryuji already knew about Yuta being a mixed breed he still didn't see him as a monster instead he saw him as a poor child who was a victim of a cruel fate that he didn't decide for himself.

But now that he knew exactly what kind of being this young man was he knew that he couldn't just let him go but ever since he found out the truth everything started making sense his partner's strange acts and his co-worker's death all made sense almost as if jihad found the key to unlocking the door that was seemingly impossible to break open.

Mr Ryuji's hands started shaking uncontrollably as he felt his chest tightening up making it hard to breathe. Yuta looked at the man with an expressionless face as his baggy eyes stared straight at the man without even blinking.

Yuta's stare made Mr Ryuji feel as though he was being stared at by an ancient beast that wasn't even learned to walk. The middle-aged man wasn't afraid of Yuto instead it was the heavyweight that this secret held.

If Yuto were to go berserk tomorrow which would undoubtedly turn into a very ugly scene but because he's still young his out berserk state wouldn't even possess a fraction of the power it would've held in the future when Yuto has reached his peak but even so in a place filled with children who possess either no or every minuscule combat experience even that tiny bit of strength is enough to cause a massacre and if such a situation does occur he would be held fully responsible because he didn't do anything when he had the chance.

Yuta's pupils observed every minuscule action that was made by the strange that sat next to him but he didn't say anything as he wasn't sure what to expect from this man since he was the one who saved him before when the voice inside of him was trying to take control over his body but unlike the time when the glasses man attacked him he felt that that time was different since he could faintly feel that he wouldn't be able to gain control again once he let the "Demon" within him do as it pleases.

Yuta was a very patient man and staring at something for 5 minutes wasn't worth mentioning to him which is one of the reasons the other children called him a freak during preschool.

Yuta didn't feel anything towards the man who was trembling before him since he couldn't sympathise with him nor did he want to because of one the few pieces of advice given to him by his father that he could still remember were " always be yourself no matter the situation because being yourself and believing in yourself is the best thing one can do for himself."

These words were one of his only a few keepsakes of his father and he treasured them with all his heart so seeing the stranger before him acting this way just because he was being himself made Yuta angry but he didn't show it on his face.

Yuta believed in his father's words as if they were the bible, to him no one was better than his father. After being alone and bullied by others for so long with only his sweet memories of his father to keep him comfortable during the cold and lonely nights he ended up developing a strange father complex.

Yuta's interpretation of his father's occasional motivational speeches ended up with a strange mindset that his father was the best man in the universe.

When Yuta was busy daydreaming his pupils caught sight of the stranger sneaking his shaky left hand behind his back possibly to grab a weapon. Yuta wasn't surprised by his actions since that's how everybody outside of the people in the orphanage he grew up in treated him.

Yuta didn't panic even though he could be in danger cause he knew his limit so could tell that his opponent was stronger than him in every way possible but that didn't scare him in the slightest as he locked eyes with the man and said to him in a plain voice that was not frightened nor threatening.

"Do you want to kill me as well?"

Hearing Yuta's question a large amount of guilt fell upon Mr Ryuji's heart causing his hand that went to reach out for his blaster to freeze up and clench into a fist. A fist that was filled with guilt as a flood of painful memories displayed themselves on rewind in his mind multiple times causing tears to break out from the man's eyelids as he started shouting like a mad man.

"I'M SORRY! I'M SORRY! I'M SORRY! I'M SORRY!!.. PLEASE FORGIVE ME! I'M SO SORRY! Aya! Chiyo! I'm sorry!... I tried"

Yuta watched the man scream out apologising like a mad man but he didn't feel that any of those apologies were directed towards him which only made him more irritated.
