The middle-aged man waited patiently in the waiting room for the operation to finish without any complaints as his mind was focused solely on what was going on right under his nose that he was missing.
The middle-aged man felt as though he was missing only a single vital piece of information about the situation before he could figure out what was going on around him but that single missing piece was important to this puzzle.
Time and time again e tried his hardest to think of a solution and find out the answers he was searching for but unfortunately, he couldn't make any headway causing the nanochip in his head to heat an indication that t needed some time to recover and it would be unwise to continue stressing about whatever issue was in his mind.
"...sigh"
The middle-aged man released a helpless sigh as he continued with his long wait for a doctor to appear and give him an update.
...
A FEW HOURS LATER
Sounds of footsteps echoed throughout the entire hallway. The footsteps were neither fast nor slow but followed a strange kind of rhythm almost as if it was done on purpose.
The echoing sounds of the shoe hitting tile gotta louder ad louder as the mysterious figure walked down the long hallway passing numerous patient wards along his way.
The middle-aged man was resting his head on the comfortable hospital couch as he stared at the snow-white ceiling. Everything in this hospital was white from the walls to the tiles to everything else just like the hospitals seen on hollow graphic pop up ads.
The middle-aged man was a trained warrior so he could easily pick up on these foreign footsteps that he'd never heard in his entire but since he was in a hospital it was only natural for such occurrences to happen since he doesn't visit the hospital because the academy provides their staff with better equipment to heal themselves as well as those of royal blood and aristocrats that have the blood of powerful individuals.
The middle-aged man hear the footsteps get closer to him so the decided to lower his neck and see for himself who had decided to visit him after! making him sit for so long without so much as an update on the situation and if it wasn't for the things he wanted to know he would've long since decided to come back tomorrow to check on him.
The middle-aged man's foggy black pupils met the mysterious figure's crystal blue pupils as they locked eyes with one another.
The mysterious figure dawned a lustrous white robe that was made of high-quality fabric that common people could not afford and he wore a pair of reading glasses that had metal alloy frames that radiated a gorgeous metal glint.
The mysterious figure looked like a textbook example of what a doctor looked like and the glasses that he wore made him look smarter even though with the improvement of science such glasses have been rendered redundant with the progression of the time these days they're only used for the appeal but that didn't diminish their popularity in the slightest instead they got popular since both humans and pureblood have taken a great fancy to them because unlike in the past these glasses can now be worn by people who didn't even have an eye problem.
The mysterious figure stared at the middle-aged man's foggy black pupils before raising his wrist to his chest and typing a few keys on a hollow graphic keyboard that appeared out of the watch on his wrist.
After a few seconds of texting the middle-aged man received a notification notice from his wristwatch causing a helpless smile to appear on his face.
The man felt helpless since he knew that something of this nature would happen to see as he was the one who brought Yuta to this hospital so he'll have to be responsible for everything concerning him including his medical expenses so he didn't even bother to check what that message notification was about and directly asked the doctor where Yuta's ward was located.
The doctor slept for a bit before he finally slit his lips in half to reply to his client's question but if one looked extra carefully in his eyes they would be able to see a faint amount of unwillingness.
"3rd room to the right on the fourth floor" the doctor's voice was mostly cold and devoid of emotions but if one listened carefully enough they would be able to detect the large amount of disgust that was hidden within his cold voice.
As a trained warrior the middle-aged man could easily detect the doctor's disgust towards the young man which made him even more determined to uncover what was going on and if it comes to the point where he had to make a difficult decision he was unsure if he could make the wise one or if he'll let his emotions get in the way.
...
After getting lost a few times due to several unexplainable incidents the middle-aged man finally arrived at the door of Yuta's ward before opening the wrist watches interface and selecting the message that was sent to him.
The man didn't even bother to read the long texts and directly scrolled to the bottom of the message where a line of numbers was written.
[Current ward patient: (Name: Yuta)
(Surname: Unknown)
[Ward Access Code: 13462789204628]
...
Because of the large amounts of hospital assassination that happened in the past, the government demanded that all hospitals drastically increases their security using the most efficient and modern means possible so the hospital owners decided to use a special method that only granted access to patients ward to people who were close to the patient and only a few doctors would have access to all the wards.
The access code changes every hour and if one is connected to the patient in any way they would receive frequent updates and the outdated code would vanish like it was never there.
The middle-aged man took in a deep breath before entering the ward.
Inside the ward's only person bed sat a young man with pure white hair that wasn't sullied by even a speck of dust or drop of blood. The youth wore white gowns that were meant for patients. The gowns looked fantastic on him as they perfectly complemented his white hair but if one looked at his gloomy face they feel a large amount of concentrated sadness and depression that hung around him like a dark cloud.
