Chapter 48: No More Hiding

Eleonore’s POV

The days passed by slowly after the incident with Bastian. Whenever he would try to meet me at work I would ignore him, and whenever he would try to visit me at home my aunty was there to deter him.

I had learned then, too, that she held magic of her own. Though she wasn’t as powerful as the Shein mages, she had explained, she held something that made him cautious enough to not test her. It was practiced magic, nothing inherent, but it was good enough in defence to keep Bastian away.

“Though I doubt it would do much if that b*stard’s patience runs out.” She seethed as she told me what she would do exactly if he tried to test her.

‘Don’t call him a b*stard.’ I told her weakly, spooning at the dinner she had made us.

“What should I call him then? C*nt? D*ckhead?” She suggested. “Take your pick.”
