“And you’re telling us that these disappearances began happening a little over three months ago?”

“I am.”

Hayden looked at me. “That’s exactly when the wolves from the university started disappearing too.”

“Yes,” Alethea continued. “I do believe these incidents are related. And quite frankly, what happened just here only proved my theory.”

“Which is what?” I found myself asking.

“This is magic related.” She nodded finally, as though that gave us all the answers we were looking for. The woman must have noted the confused expression on both Hayden's and I’s faces because she sighed and continued to explain herself to us as though we were children.

“It’s obvious that these aren’t natural disappearances, and suddenly having Eleonore experiencing these… episodes, shall we call them, cannot be a coincidence.”
