Chapter 96: Hold Me Like This

Rhett’s POV

I couldn’t have been asleep for more than an hour when I woke up. It wasn’t due to anything alarming, but the way Eleonore was shuffling against me certainly didn’t mean anything safe, either.

I groaned out as I told her to stop, my voice groggy and half filled with sleep. For a moment she did, her movements stilling as she heard my voice speak up, and she relaxed back into the mattress again.

However, it wasn’t even a moment later before I was beginning to fall back asleep that her back pressed hard against me, and my eyes shot open.

I doubt she realized what she was doing, her hips lining up just so perfectly as she tried to get comfortable that I had to grab it and still her. The bed wasn’t small, however I had severely overestimated just how much space the three of us would have taken.
