I gasped as I was wrenched from the world-space I had been trapped in. I heard, as I was being pulled up, the Voice of the Void calling out to me one last time.


“I’ll see you soon, Eleonore, this won’t be the last time we see each other.” The Voice was playful almost, as it called out to me.


“Wait!” I called out to it just as I was being lifted further from where I was sitting. “What’s he planning? Where is he? You said—you said Bastian wasn’t here… what did you mean by that?”


The Voice tutted back at me, and I could hear the faint voices calling out my name from the other side of the veil. It was Rhett and Hayden; I could feel them pulling me up from where I had been trapped. How did they find me?


I didn’t have too long to think about it before I was being pulled through the veil and my body was shot through to the Void where they were.
