Hayden was late to the meeting. After I had specifically told him not to be late to the meeting, that the meeting was important, that the meeting would define a great deal of our standing as alphas and the territories over all—to that meeting, he was late.

He was late!

Just as I felt my patience reach its tipping point, my brother sauntered into the room with the largest grin on his face I had ever seen the man wear, and he smiled a lot.

Goddess, I’m going to throttle him in his sleep. He even had the gall to meet the daggers I was throwing at him with a wider grin, his demeanor bright and cheery in stark contrast to the foreboding one I was exuding. I’m going to kill him.
