Chapter 176: Home

Eleonore’s POV

If you told me months ago that I’d be walking somewhere, in a city I hadn’t grown up in, far away from the people who I had loved and trusted and coincidentally left behind, following a shadow of what seemed to be my younger self—I would not have believed you.

And yet here I was.

The bright shining light of my car’s headlights had stopped lighting the path forward for me about ten minutes ago, and still I persisted forward. Now usually I wasn’t the type of person to just hop out of my car and race into the woods without a plan.

But when the image of your younger self shows up in front of you on the road, you’re not going to just continue driving and forget about it, are you? So with a shuddering breath I pulled over and followed the girl–me–where she was taking me.
