“You can’t go after her.” That was the first thing Xavier and Claudius had told us. His statement had ripped a growl from my chest, and I took a large step towards him.


“And why the f*ck not?” I challenged him, but the older wolf seemed undisturbed at the tone of my voice.


“Because you have a duty here—” He began speaking, but I cut him off.


“She is my duty!” I roared, my fists balling at my sides as I tried to control the anger that was flaring up inside of me.
