‘What do you think we’ll find at the citadel?’ I could hear the twins’ thoughts floating through my head as they spoke. My eyes drifted from the window beside me to the passenger’s seat, where Rhett sat. Hayden was beside me on the other end of the car, never taking his eyes off the sights around us as we drove, and Michael was driving. 


‘Nothing,’ Hayden’s thoughts came in answer to his brother’s, ‘maybe everything?’ 


His head turned to me for a moment, regarding my expression before he turned back. ‘What do you think, Eleonore?’
