Chapter Sixteen

　　Eric intertwined his hands with Annie’s own and led her to his car.

　　He opened the front passenger’s door for her, she got settled and he made his way to the driver’s seat.

　　They were both quiet during the drive until Eric decided to start a conversation.

　　“I spoke to my family about you.” He took a glance at her then turned his face back to the road.

　　“How did they take the news?” She asked nervously, hoping they don’t see her as a gold digger.

　　He smiled at her. “Better than I imagined.”

　　“Elaina was screaming for joy when I told her.” He said and Annie smiled. She wasn’t that close to Elaina in high school but she knew Eric’s sister was a good person. Even though she came from a very rich home, she was very humble and treated everyone with respect.
