Prologue 3.2

Yuuki Kagurazaka POV.

Blessed.

That is the aptest word I can use to describe the person in front of me.

Pale blonde hair that framed her face wonderfully coupled with her violet jewels for eyes. She has a body that isn't overly curvaceous like Kagali, but it is still sensual.

But, her physical appearance is not what makes her, her. It's that overwhelming talent, to the point it, begrudgingly, her talent overshadows mine.

So much so that she rose through the ranks of the Eastern Empire and recently became a Saint, obtaining a new level of power. My informants had told me about her, so I had them watch her, in case she became a hindrance in my plans.

Though, sending spies to tail her could be the best and worst thing to happen. She had reverse traced the communication between me and them, killed them, and proceeded to confront me. Truly she is blessed. Fierce, committed, and talented. Above all else, when under the stars, she is blessed. That is Hana Takahashi.

In all honesty, if I wasn't me, I would have fallen head over heels for her. That is just how great she is. Right now we are good acquaintances with each other. She would help me, and I would help her.

A relationship between equals. If I were to compare me and her in a fight, then it would be 50/50. It all depends on circumstances, but if we were to get specific, she is stronger than me. But right now, as I sit opposite her whilst playing chess, I can't help but think. She's grown abnormally stronger than before.

Before we were comparable but now, she is clearly stronger than me. How did that happen? Is becoming a Saint that big of an increase in strength? Maybe she obtained a new skill?

While I can continue to speculate, it would not change the situation. So let's pack this issue for another time. We continued to play chess for a while longer. If it were back on Earth, people would have thought that this was a match between grandmasters of the world. To us, however, this is nothing but a friendly match. After all, to have a skill that affects the very laws of Nature, you must understand that very Nature.

It makes sense that our mental faculties are on a higher tier compared to other people.

"!" My instinct flared to 110%, I had involuntarily activated the creator before shutting it down and trying to correct my mistake before anyone could notice.

--The time it took from Yuuki Kagurazaka's instinct to calm down from its agitated state was one-tenth, of one-hundredth of a second. 10 microseconds to be exact. Even then, both Kagali andHana were able to notice the slightest of changes within that time. Did they address it? No. Because to them, they knew that Yuuki's facade is so very interchangeable.--

What happened? Who was that?! There was no else in the room? Even if Hana is stronger than me, she could never release such pressure. It felt as if I were being appraised by... a king. Somebody divine. That gaze that looked upon me was not that of humans. It was alien. Foreign in nature. Whatever it was, it is most likely associated with Hana.

"-See you again soon." Hana waved off before closing the door. I slumped back, and my mind couldn't help but go back to the divine gaze that watched me.

What could its purpose be? Was it satisfied with what out saw? What did it even see?

"Yuuki." I looked up at my beautiful Secretary. She handed me a letter. Reading its content had brightened up my mood.

Simply put, ever since the incident with Hana, I improved my network. They are Anonymous

people that collect information then give it to the guild for "safekeeping". But, one thing that stood out to me, aside from the pleasant information was the alias this assailant went by.

Usually, the letters have no name. This would make it easier for them to be 'thrown' away.

On rare occasions, they would use an alias that was predetermined. This leads me back to my source of confusion.

Why did this assailant use the alias "X"?

Out of all them, why that? But, to be frank, it does not matter. As long as he does his job. His names have no meaning to me. Standing up, a smile graced my face.

"Kagali." I turned around, making contact eye with the former demon lord.

"Yes?" She asked, but she already knew what I wanted.

"Tell the troop, they begin Lapsus Stella. " I walked forward, looking out at the land ahead.

"Right away." She left as if she were never there. Disappearing into the shadows. Show me, if you are truly blessed by the stars. Hana-chan~

"Ayanokouji Kiyotaka" POV.

"GAHH!" The violet eye girl laid on the floor after our spar. I had gained a new ability I wanted to try so we had a little scuffle. This new skill is better than I thought.

"This is so unfair!" I just threw a bottle of water at the complaining girl. She caught it with no problems. Sitting up she began to drink water, before continuing her rant.

"How do you just pull ability like that out of your ass!" She kept saying more PG words, so I just carried her in a princess carry. That shut her up.

Good to know.

We had dinner and now we were just chilling in her bedroom. Hana was reading a book of some sorts while I thought about my skill. A skill I created with my aether manipulation "magic".

Mystic eyes of precognition.

My new ability. It was, different, not bad, just different from what I would have expected.

When it comes to precognition based only on perception, they rely on prediction and calculation-based types of eyes or Predictive Precognition. The person having it has a tremendous ability to remember and calculate everything in the environment using information procession, mixing it in a coordinated fashion to see a possible future. In other words, it uses as much data as possible from the past and present to predict what is possible in the future.

But because that process would be greatly hindered by the mental capacity of the wielder, this is done subconsciously. By contrast, the eyes that I have, The mystic eyes of determinative precognition are much stranger.nThe same kind of memory and calculative power is required, but while Predictive Precognition is a passive, defensive process, Determinative Precognition is an assertive, offensive one

Instead of peering into a future, these eyes build one. They seek to determine which of those possible futures will occur, or even decide which one will come to pass. The user acts themself to determine which future would come about, calculating how one would do so.

In turn, leading the opposition on, in a predetermined bout. Determinative Precognition is thus many times more accurate than Predictive Precognition. Once

the future has been built, then perceived, that future is completely fixed. Allowing for guaranteed victory.

These eyes are an excellent addition to my arsenal. While I am not used to the act of perceiving a built future, I'm getting used to these eyes just fine. I'll probably need to master them, though.

Especially since a storm will be coming to pass soon enough.
