Prologue 3.3

The Eastern Empire.

Officially known as the Nasca Namrium Ulmeria United Eastern Empire. The Eastern Empire is a large military nation that is known as the strongest nation in the entire world.

2000 years ago, the long-standing minor Kingdom of Nasca gradually absorbed the large nations of the Magic Kingdom of Namrium and the Eastern Union of Ulmeria, thus giving birth to the Empire known today.

Its overwhelming military power was its backbone. During the past two thousand years, under the reign of the uniting emperor Rudra Nam Ul Nasca, the Empire grew immensely powerful, squashing any signs of rebellion from the nations they had absorbed. It acted as the hegemonic power, dominating these states.

The emperor was described as an absolutist and was born from a pure bloodline of overlords who all passed down the name Rudra. Within the Empire, the political department and the military departments were the left and rightnhands of the emperor—he had both political dominance and military command, holding absolute authority.

This also applied to the nations that had been annexed by the Empire. All of their territories were claimed, and their land now became the property of the emperor. In that manner, the Empire managed to maintain order. On the one hand, the fear of their tyranny, and on the other, ensuring the livelihoods of its loyal subjects—the quintessential carrot and stick

policy. Through this, the Empire managed to maintain peace and prosperity with its complete authoritarian control.

This policy was effective in eliminating any form of rebellion in the provinces. The overwhelming difference in national power was the key to its success. Within the political department, the nobles within the Empire were organized into the House of Peers and enjoyed extraordinary authority. Yet it was merely superficial: in reality, these nobles had no actual decision-making power.

They merely enjoyed the honor and privilege, while staying beholden to the emperor's will. At most, they were just bureaucrats. It makes sense after all is said and done.

The Eastern Empire prides itself on being the single strongest military force in the world.

The total number of their military personnel exceeded 2.1 million, far greater than even all forces in the west combined. This overwhelming military is the backbone of their unshakeable rule. The supreme decision-making power of the military did not belong to the nation, but the emperor.

All of the Empire's power was centered on the emperor, allowing for a rule absolute in nature. The highest-ranking officer within the military is the Marshal, which is rumored to be the true dragon that represents Scorch itself.

The Empire's only creed is "Power is Everything," So long as you had strength, you were in the right. After all, there is no good in war, only the victor. As long as one is the victor, they are right.

Power is everything.

That is only further enhanced when looking at their military. The Armored Corps, commanded by Calgary it is the largest Corps with more than 2 million soldiers that can outdo most nations without suffering casualties. Then there is the Armored Remodeled Legion. Their combat capability is at least ranked C+, and the elite among them even reached rank A. There are 700,000 of them. And last, but definitely not least, The Royal Guards.

This is the group directly under the emperor's direct command, carefully selected from the otherncorps. Despite having only 100 members, their combined strength is greater than the three remaining corps combined.

The members are called "Imperial Knights" and every one of them is at least at the level of Enlightened(Saint).

These powerful warriors are ranked by numbers according to their strength in which those who ranked above 30 are significantly more powerful than those below.

The "Double O Numbers" (rank 001-009) are on yet another level in terms of power, who are all at the level of Saints. One of these numbers, 001. Tatsuya Kundou is currently reporting back to Rudra Nam Ul Nasca,

the one true emperor of the empire.

"I see. So she was the one who leaked that information?" The man with short blonde hair and eyes colored blood-red asked.

"Yes. Hana Takahashi has leaked information on the magic corpse, that up until now, was meant to be classified." Short black hair neatly trimmed, showing off the eyes that were colored in night.

"Such a shame, she was scheduled to be the official 10th. What a waste of talent." Even though his words sounded so sweet and twinged with regret. His visage was anything but that, showing the true nature of a man who ruled dominantly from the start.

"What are we to do about this." The general called out, waiting for orders.

"Simple. We eliminate her, take number 009 with to make sure the job is done." An order that carried royal authority was sent out.

"Your wish is my command." With that, Tatsuya Kundo left, to carry out his duty. Like the soldier he is.

"Truly it is a shame. We will have a rising star shot down before the main event." The king's premonition left ominous insinuation lingering in the night.

"Ayanokouji Kiyotaka" POV.

Let me ask you something.

How would you go about changing concept?

For example, the concept of falling. To fall is the process of you taking a misstep allowing for the laws of motion to take place, making descend at an accelerated rate due to gravity.

So, how would you, a normal person, change that concept?

You can't. These laws and universal motions hold the very world together. To change one concept, even small, would be disrupting the preestablished anchors of the universe. This in turn will cause a butterfly effect. Slowly, but surely, an infinitesimal motion will become inconsequential nuances, which turns intonprime motion. Forcing time to catch up to itself, whilst it is trying to distance itself. But, the moment the real 1 reaches the real 0, the universe will collapse on itself. Everything will turn null.

In short, trying to change a concept, if you even can, is a very bad idea. They exist for a reason.

"-Kiyo! Hold the weapon! It's in the final stages of forming!" Hana screaming brought me out of my musings. Doing what she said, I put my hand on the weapon.

You see, Hana, here, wanted to give me a gift. So her bright idea was for me to use the object I found to make a weapon. That's how we got here now.

My musings were caused by the fact that we are unable to make a complete sword out of it. The ore kept reshaping back. My solution, was to, instead of trying to reforge it. Let it permit you to form towards its true shape.

In lamens terms, this is the prototype of "magic steel". And just like its descendants, it slowly forms based on its influence. Thus, it led to the prototype of "magic steel" becoming the prototype of "sword".

What does a sword do? It cuts. To cut, a sword must separate but separation is severance. As the prototype of the sword, it is the one that first performed the notion of severance, allowing for separating leading into the concept of cutting.

"-Pull it out!" I pulled it out at Hana's words.

Soon after, smoke floods the room, blocking our vision.

The wind blew as if exalting the first, the sky itself party, as of signifying severance. The smoke eventually passed. Allowing for my "sword" to come into sight. For the first time in my life, I was enraptured by an existences beauty.

The blade was a double-edged straight sword of average length, the hilt was slick straight, and long like the shaft of a spear. The tip of the hilt was shaped like the head of an arrow. Its appearance was similar to that of spears, but in my eyes, it was anything but that. The blade had an ethereal rope that seemed to coalesce around the weapon.

The entire spear like a sword was colored silver. It was beautiful. She was beautiful.

"... What are you going to name it..." Many words came to mind but a whisper halted my thoughts.

Beautiful severance. Those words kept echoing in my mind.

Ah, I know what to name you.

"... Chranere..." Hana and the black Smith seemed lost, but now I was more focused on her.

What her thoughts are on her new name.

Just then, I felt an enormous amount of magicules leaving me. Then a connection was formed, I called out to her and she responded.

[Hai! I'll live up to that name master!] A feminine voice echoed through my mind. I unconsciously smiled.

I know you will, Chranere-chan.

"Hey Kiyo," I looked up to see Hana setting up a chessboard, "How good are you with chess?" I stood up and sat opposite, amusement tickling me.

"I'd say I'm pretty decent," she raised a brow, then proceeded to move her pawn forward.

I was bored so I wanted to test the inner workings of Sha Naqba Imuru. Using the skill, I won in 25 moves.

"..."

"..."

Hana looked at me then at the board then at me again. "Again," I just nodded. The same result had occurred.

"... Good game?" She just gave a finger that was not PG.

"... Haah... I'll make you ice cream if you want?" She just silently looked at me, as if asking for more. What more could she want? I'm literally of ering her ice cream.

[Maybe she wants cake?] Chranere's suggestion gave me an idea.

"Ice Cream cake?" She pouted, looking for more, "... Strawberry Ice cream cake?" She just nodded cutely, refusing to talk.

"Are you perhaps, throwing a tantrum?" A flying chessboard to my face was the only answer I got.

"I'll take that as a yes." I dodged the onslaught of furniture headed my way.

"Just shut up and let me hit you!" I did not oblige to her words, continuing a game of cat and mouse for the rest of the day.
