Chapter Nine: The Dark Cloud

Raven had went to several different towns but had no luck of finding anyone. Some towns had been destroyed, but she kept searching. She had to find someone. Anyone. There had to be survivors. There had to be someone who still who made it out of the Witch Kingdom.

Raven finally arrived at a small town that was at the edge of the The Witch Kindoms territory. If they weren't here, then there is nowhere else they could be. Raven heard voices, and that was a comfort. It was more than what she had been receiving. As she makes her way through the Town. She sees an old friend of hers. A Troll who wore a huge, warm smile and was helping his fellow people.

" Gorgo! " Raven runs to him and hugs him tightly.

" Raaaaaaaaaven! It's good to see that you are doing well! And the baby is also doing great from what I can tell" Gorgo pokes Ravens swollen belly gently.

" Yes, and the same for you. It's so good to see you doing well. With the sky falling, I was worried that your Town might not have made it. I've been too several others who did not have the same fortune" Ravens words brought a frown to the normally Jolly trolls face.

" Yes. We have been hearing about that. We are actually about to make our ways to the mountains" He explains.

" The mountain? Do you think that would be safer? " Raven had forgotten about the mountains. This could be another place to send refugees. " Well it can't be any worse than here on land" Gorgo chuckles heavily.

" You make a good point" Raven nods. " Has anyone from Kara's Kingdom been through here?" She asked as she watched him direct people on where to move heavy wooden crates. " No..unfortunetly not. But perhaps they took to the mountains as well " Gorgo brought up another interesting idea. If he was correct then that would mean she would need to go with them to see for herself.

It was at this time that the light over the town began to Darken which made Raven and Gorgo look up to see nothing but blackness. " What the the hell.." Raven murmered as she squinted her eyes at the black cloud. " Oh my god.." She gasps. " Its Vampires " Gorgo says with dread in his voice.

Lysette, finally got back to her feet, staring at the drawer still. " Gabriel...what did you do.." She says, despite being alone. She rushes to the drawer and takes the compass out and slides it into her pocket and runs out of the Castle just in time to see Raven appear. " Raven did you know that - " Lysette goes to say before Raven cuts her off. " Vampires are coming.." Raven informs her.

" Wha...did you find the Witches? Where are they? " Lysette asked in a hurried voice as she begins calling out to the guards to prepare for an attack.

" They weren't at the Kingdom. I did find Gorgo and he thinks the may have went to the mountains. I'm hoping that they did. Gorgo thinks it's safe" Raven answers as guards rush around them, one of which bumping into Raven making her stumble but Lysette caught her in time before she fell. " Are you okay? " Lysette asked.

" I'm fine. Where the hell is Shawn? " Raven questioned to which Lysette shrugged. " I don't know. They haven't come back yet. And im getting worried but we don't have time to deal with that now. We have to get ready " Lysette was worried for Gabriel and Shawn but she knew if she didn't prepare her people, they would not stand a chance against a Vampire Attack.

Lysette looks down he main street and see's Nate Drunkenly stumbling down the road. " Nate! You idiot! Get back inside Vampires are coming! " She growls loudly but Nate continues walking down the street. " let em come..I'll kick all their pasty white asses " He slurs as he falls to the ground.

" For fucks sake.." Lysette heads over to Nate and picks up his body and motions for the nearest guard to come over and passes him off to the guard. " Make sure he doesn't get into any more trouble please " Lysette Sighs. Lysette looks back to Raven and sees Darkness creeping over her, and that darkness was inching closer and closer to Lysette. " God's help us" Lysette looks up and sees the The Darkest of Clouds.
