Nevena

I don’t know why I did it, but when Ivan said that, I just looked away from his mesmerizing eyes, and I started running.

I am not quite sure what I was running away from; it’s not like I could leave the Slavonika Academy just because I wanted to. But if I didn’t run, I was just going to scream and shout and cry, and I didn’t want to do that. Not in front of Ivan at least.

What I wouldn’t have given away at that moment just to be with Rachel and Jessica so we can laugh about the whole thing and gossip until we felt like it.

“Nevena! Wait!” Ivan said and he started running after me.

I ran even faster, not wanting to face the handsome vampire that had to kill me or turn me in just three days. I know why he did it – to save me that horrible Axe of Perun (how is that thing even legal?) but I didn’t quite understand it. Wasn’t it better to die now than wait three more days?
