Chapter 47: Relax

The days leading up to the full moon were the longest I’d experienced in my life. I did my best to keep from falling behind in my classes, but it was hard to focus when I had no way of knowing whether or not the antidote was actually working. Being alone in the apartment was stressful and lonely, but I knew it was only temporary.

I spoke with Leigha often, but she didn’t have any more information than I did regarding the alpha’s condition. I tried to speak with Hikaru at least once a day, but it always hurt tremendously to hear them in pain.

The night before the full moon, I heard the alpha’s voice in my mind saying, “Everything is going according to plan, pup. Meet with Leigha tomorrow and she will guide you to the council meeting as her distinguished guest.”

I let out a long sigh of relief. “I’m so glad you’re feeling better. Do you need me to come check in on you? I could bring you anything you need to get ready for tomorrow.”
