A Warm Night

"Anita, am I making things difficult for you by saying this all of a sudden? It's okay, you can stay by yourselves if you want. I have no objections," said Sylvia when she heard that Anita was silent.

"No, Mom, I'm just afraid that Owen and I will go home too late sometimes and affect you and Dad," Anita, afraid that Sylvia would misunderstand, quickly explained.

"How could that be? How about this? Anita, you and Owen can discuss it together. You can make your own decisions," said Sylvia.

"Yes, Mother, I understand," said Anita as she listened to Sylvia.

After the two of them said their goodbyes and hung up the phone, Anita looked at the time on her phone and hesitated to send Owen a message about this.

"Owen, Mom called to ask us to stay at their home. What do you think?" Anita thought long and hard before she sent the message.
