The scene was simple, the Magneriz had carelessly pounced on the opponent from the air while the opponent was aiming his Sapphire-loaded weapon at him.
Both would not hesitate to attack each other so the damage would be serious, in this case for the detective. The pale man would fall to the ground badly injured and then see the opponent.
—You have faced one of mine, now answer. What do you want from me? Murder would ask aggressively.
"I see you're not what I thought... The man would sigh and look down. — There are people who will want to bring you down, my boss works for one of those people..... —
"It's a shame you won't get out of here." —
One last shot would be heard and then listen to the deep silence.
Nestor would end up waking up in the apartment, his body had bandages it was as if a doctor had treated his wounds but in reality it was just the albino boy changing his own bandages, the man looked at his eyes, he had an immense emptiness in them. He may have also fallen into his games of masks because he had never seen that face in the young albino.
"I didn't think I would know how to use a weapon…" The eldest whispered as he turned his gaze to the ceiling where he would see the ring lights of Saturn.
The albino remained silent and then put the things in the medicine cabinet.
—Your injuries are serious, I announced that you had an accident so you will be incapacitated. The boy avoided the question.
"I see, I'm still amazed at your medical skills. - Nestor would look at him with a slight smile between a look haggard by fatigue.
-Was not me…. - The albino answered after meditating in silence.
The major didn't know that Winter gained by lying to him like that, he had the knowledge of an intelligence doctor and still experience in handling weapons, so why hide it from him? Was it something bad? His look from previous moments showed something that Nestor had never seen, it was as if everything he knew about him was erased as if it were chalk on the blackboard when erasing it, but he refused to be carried away by thoughts of mistrust. so he concluded that they were personal reasons.
"I'll go to school, I left two private guards at the hospital and asked Erza and Ronald to keep you company. " Taras looked at him worried. "If they ask you anything, just tell them it was an accident." —
— Is there something bothering you? —
"No, there's nothing bothering me. —
Winter would look at him with a gentle smile while her eyes showed sadness so the older man would not continue questioning the situation. Both guards would arrive at Winter's house to take care of their injured boss so the boy would only leave them to go to school.
Kacper had suffered some ghostly burns on his arm between the last attack, if he deflected his arm he would not have won because of what he would win based on a sacrifice, the problem was that Nestor was injured and that brought back memories that he wanted to forget, memories that should have been locked up a long time ago.
The sun hadn't risen yet, it was too early to go to school but Winter had to do something before going to school. After rescuing Nestor, he would look for the information that he had asked for, so having time after attending the eldest, he would review said information.
Damián Quill was a 24-year-old boy who worked in the Genisian organization called EDIH (Extermination of injustice and human insecurities). It was the rival of the Damocles organization because one was in charge of working with pure Genisians in legal situations while another was an organization that covered all kinds of areas. But EDIH was not very well known for his heroic deeds, he had a history of corruption and serious problems with the Union Human organization which was dedicated to protecting humans from the Genisians.
The more he investigated, the more questions appeared and among them appeared payrolls, they were illegal payments, gaps in the economic administration of EDIH as well as of UH. What was so mysterious about that? It was that Damián appeared on each payroll, he knew how to defend himself loyally and also how to finish off his enemies, so confronting him without prior legal knowledge would make that subject eat alive.
It was here where a doubt began to form but it didn't have enough impact to make the albino think about it much, the boy would finally arrive at the place he had wanted to visit for a long time, the cemetery, the place where his father rested eternally underground. Kapcer would enter the place and as expected, he would clean his resting place with too much patience and slowness. He was sponging gently, slowly and gently. He had nothing to share, much less something to wish for, so he hoped his late father understood that he wanted to be by his side at that moment in silence to comfort his anguish and concerns.
The minutes passed slowly and the boy was still taking care of his relative's grave while he remembered some images and words that people used to say to him.
At that time, Winter was a child no more than 4 years old, people looked at him with repudiation and children his age attacked him every afternoon until they left him on the ground with his lip bleeding, with scratches everywhere, with bruises and snow in his hair but despite this he was still so kind to his aggressors.
Sometimes he waited in the nursery for his parents to pick him up, but between the wait the mothers murmured about why a child of that appearance came to a place where their children studied, they wondered why the parents did not leave him and even why her children had to put up with her presence. Thinking of the others, Winter would stop attending school, so when she left the house she would go to the depths of the forest to create snow figures, which amused her and made her feel like she had company.
Upon returning home, he could see how his parents were playing with a black-haired boy, both were smiling so before arriving he would hide in the trees to look at that smile that he had not seen in his parents since he was born.
Upon returning to his present, he would realize that he has been doing the same thing as when he was a child, hiding in the trees watching how others lived their lives, perhaps he did not envy, perhaps he stopped wishing for things and even stopped imagining or thinking about the What would it be like if I had this? The only thing he wanted now was to put an end to that feeling he was beginning to feel, those discomforts that made him doubt or question his decisions.
Yes, he had Nestor but he had a wife to take care of to make that man take care of everything if he wanted so he wouldn't have taken away the enormous burden that the eldest had borne a long time ago. He also had the other guards but no one knew him like the minotaur thought he knew him.
Calsifer... The albino muttered. - I am doing something wrong? I feel like something is making me doubt myself, that feeling from before is back... I don't know how to turn it off, I don't know how to avoid feeling less than others… I don't feel like I deserve anyone's forgiveness…. —
People sometimes think badly of others, in Winter's case, people thought he was arrogant, rude, narcissistic and even arrogant with others but it wasn't because he wanted to do it but because people themselves had done it that way. Maybe Eskel Rue was right, why should the Genisians put up with all this if they have the power to stop it? Why should Winter put up with people's rudeness if he had and knew things that ordinary people didn't? It was by a single word that defined him in his own way, Loyalty.
He could be the emo of the whole school, the bully of the third graders, the arrogant young businessman or whatever people wanted to invent but despite all this he remained faithful to those who offended him so it was to be expected that later or sooner or later that pressure cooker would explode and by the time that happened people would realize what a mistake they had made.
Winter would finish cleaning the grave and then place the flowers that Calsifer always bought for his wife and son, the blue roses with crystalline petals like ice itself.
It was almost time to retire so Kacper would get up and bow to his father for permission to leave. Outside the cemetery a woman with bright red hair like the magma of an active volcano would appear, her eyes were a bright jade color and her skin was a light tone. She was the matriarch of the family and she was upset with Winter, the woman's reaction would shock the albino because he would feel a deep burning and heat on his left cheek.
—You are not worthy to visit my son, I may forgive you for other mistakes but the fact that you come to see my son is a great offense to me, damn bastard. It should have been you and not my precious son. - Detonated the woman with a strong and serious voice.
Winter would remain silent and give an apologetic 90° bow to the older but remarkably young woman. The woman's eyes let her pupils be seen contracted by the maximum repudiation that she had for the albino. The boy would leave without saying a word in the direction of the school where things began to stop being normal for him, some third-year students looked at him with derision and others as misery mixed with envy. His class was not like the others, in fact they ignored the fact and treated him as an equal but that was not enough for him and even more so when he almost lost the man who had raised him after ascending to the power of the family business. Where could he go to take refuge when the whole world was closing their doors and windows on him?
"Young Winter?" A soft voice asked.
The albino would look up and see the director's unconcerned eyes.
- He is okay? The blonde's gaze would widen at the sight of the albino's red cheek. - What happened? Let's go to Mr. Akira so he can check it out. —
Darrin would gently hold the albino's wrist so it would only come loose causing the headmaster to look at him with concern.
—It's nothing, a woman showed disgust. It's all, nothing from the other world of teenagers. — The albino replied bluntly.
"I see, but something tells me you haven't been having a good time." —
"I'm fine, now excuse me." I have to get to my living room. —
Darrin watched as the boy walked away from him, as a father of teenage boys he knows that Winter was lying but as long as he didn't ask for help he couldn't do anything so he would wait for the boy to come in due time.
The classes had started calmly, Kapcer focused on reviewing and answering the activities that were written on the blackboard in his notebook, there were a couple of late tasks due to a couple of absences but they were not difficult so he would answer them in class that did not correspond. The class was Philosophy and Ethics, which Winter didn't care much about, so she answered whenever she wanted.
Her teacher was a woman with green hair and brown eyes with thin pink lips, her personality was serious but she also showed charisma at times when she had to take the matter down seriously. The students felt comfortable with her so they looked forward to her classes and the one in Paris while Winter only wished that the Reading class would be presented soon as well as the math and chemistry class.
These subjects kept the albino busy with all his ideas so much so that even in recess he stayed to review what he had learned from those classes or correct some of their problems. Sometimes he would read a book during the entire break in the empty room since there were no students to bother him and to take the time to think about his future decisions because it depended on whether to continue resisting or throw in the towel once and for all.
