-Anastasia’s POV–
“Alpha..” Stacy stuttered when she turned around and found it was Alpha Aiden who answered her.
“Shouldn't you be busy with the training?” Alpha Aiden said with his head tilted. Stacy’s face went blank for a second and then her eyes went wide.
“Yes, alpha……” Stacy’s nervousness was so obvious, plain on her face.
“I will be there this afternoon.” Alpha Aiden said in a downplayed tone but Stacy’s face was lit up.
“I will do my best!” Stacy bit her pink lips when staring at Alpha Aiden.
Her feelings for the alpha couldn’t be hidden. Alpha Aiden just nodded at her and went away.
He didn’t look at me, but I somehow felt his gaze till he disappeared in my sight.
“Hey! Are you alright?” Farisa chuckled and patted my shoulders.
“Oh yeah, sorry.” I blushed and saw Stacy still glaring at me,. “I will see you at the training field.” She said from her clenched teeth before she left.
“Why she hates me so much?” I mumbled to Farisa who gave me a “I know everything” look.
“Well, she got a thing for Alpha Aiden.” Farisa giggled and continued, “She must dream of being Luna one day. She wish.” She sniffed.
I let out a sigh. With Stacy around, my life here wouldn’t be too easy.
Then I recalled something. "Alpha mentioned about training? What's that about?"
She gave me a puzzled look, "Regular Pack trainings, for the teen wolves. Alpha Aiden is pretty serious about that. He will supervise the trainings when he get time."
Teen wolves. That would include me. "Do I have to participate in that training?"
“Of course, every pack member must train. Or how would you expect the Crimson to stay as No. 1?” she gave me an unbelievable look, as if i have asked the silliest question. “Okay, got it.” I sighed, again.
Ajax was my teacher in fighting, and I was pretty confident with my fighting skills. But that is my human form, and I can't shift nor do wolf fight.
“He would be super hot in the training suit. So try not to lose yourself.” She winked at me.
Yeah whatever. I just hope that training won't kill me.
...
I was glad Farisa invited me to stay at her house yesterday. I had a good reason not to go to Ajax’s. I don’t know how to deal with him yet.
He didn’t say anything when I told him I would stay at Farisa’s, but brought me a package later when he dropped by.
Today was my first day at school. Ajax had told me to behave well.
I knew how to behave well. Stay low profile, not arousing unnecessary attentions. I can't let others know that I can't shit, or I will be kicked out again.
...which makes the pack training my biggest problem. At 9 a.m., every teen wolf gathered at the campus gym.
“Hey, you. Go to the second row.” A familiar bitchy voice sounded from behind. I turned around and saw Stacy looking at me with her chin up.
“Why?”
“Don’t ask. Just go.” She said word by word. Farisa was about to answer back when I grabbed her hand, motioning her to calm down.
“It’s okay.” I comforted her with a pat and went to the second row. Stacy walked to my original spot and smirked at me.
I ignored her.
The training starts. To my surprise, Ajax would be the main instructor. And I knew I was not the only one who was surprised because students around me gasped and took in a deep breath.
“Oh my God. Why did the Beta come to train us?”
“I’ve heard he is cruel!”
Yes, you are right. I recalled my childhood memory when he forced me to do a thousands pushups. He was bloody cruel.
“Look at him. He doesn't even smile.” A girl complained.
But when we saw who was walking behind Ajax, we became silent.
It was Alpha Aiden. He came together with the Beta.
He looked fantastic in that black T-shirt and blue jeans, exposing his masculine arms with the perfect muscle build.
When they stopped, it dawned on me why Stacy wanted my original spot.
She was right in front of the alpha with her position in the first row.
I sniffed when Ajax giving out order:
“Go find your partner and begin your training!” Ajax announced and after that everybody walked to their partners except me.
I was a newcomer. I had no partners here.
I noticed Ajax walking to me. But Stacy jumped to me before he could and held my arms as if we were friends, “Beta, let me be her partner. We should be nice to our new classmate.” She gave Ajax a sweet smile and then dragged me aside.
Ajax didn’t stop her and stepped on other students to check on them.
“Show me some good, bitc*h.” Stacy whispered in my ears and then jumped away.
I sighed before she suddenly gave me a kick in the belly. I pursed my lips in order not to groan, but she then quickly swept me down on the ground.
Bitc*h. Sneak attack.
I jumped up and punched her in her face and she returned one in the belly again.
We ended up wrestling with each other on the ground. I grabbed her hair while she choked my neck.
“Stop!”
It was Alpha Aiden. He ran to us and separated us.
“It's against the rule! You can’t take dreadful knocks!” Alpha Aiden glared at Stacy who was busy combing her red hair with fingers.
“She did it too!” Stacy pouted and clenched her fists.
“But you started it!” Alpha Aiden supported me with his muscular arms and helped me sit down.
“Enough!” The Alpha gave us two a cold look, “I don’t want this child fight, Ajax, take care of the ladies.” And he left.
Stacy glared at me and stomped away.
“Anastasia, come with me. We need to talk.” Ajax said with his lips pursed.
I thought I knew what he was going to say.
