Chapter 31
-Anastasia’s POV-
The rogue huffed behind the door. But I felt my heartbeat was louder than his.
How could he find us? It was a small storage.
I didn’t know whether it was because I was too nervous or something else, I felt my shirt sweat and even my toes were wet.
Wait. My toes?
I snapped to the bottom but couldn’t see clearly why my toes were wet. But I smelled something metallic and coppery.
Blood.
“Damn it! Your blood!” My teeth gritted. I grabbed Stacy’s hand and felt my palm weighed down. Stacy was bleeding so there must be her blood on her way to the storage!
The rogue walked here according to her bloody footprints.
“Got ya.” The rogue’s disgusting voice came through the wooden door and I found Stacy’s face changed. Apparently, she knew it was she who drew the attention of the rogue to us.
