CHAPTER TWENTY-FOUR: THE LOCKED DOOR

THE LOCKED DOOR

I scream as I realise who I thought I just saw. I scare the life out of Nancy. She drops and pushes me out of her arms like I was something disgusting. And once again, her sisters asks, but this time in a tone that speaks that they were pissed.

'What happened?'

And again she replied, putting emphasis on her word, 'Nothing'. She looks at me as she advances towards me. She holds her finger to my face as if to warn me. I was right.

'Do...not...scream.' I look at her with a face that doesn't want to be part of this. I didn't want to be a part of this. Because of this stupid flash, I have to lose my life?

"No, I refuse."

And then the thought of Feline came visiting me unawares and against my will, I let out a cry. Nancy throws her hands in the air and panics. She pushes me into the empty shelf as big as a fridge and locks me in it.

She looks for ways to put on an act. And the kitchen door opens, 'What the hell is your issue?'

'I thought I saw a lizard.'
