The Enemy Of Dygate

The Dygate town was the biggest town of Athergale. Athergale as the biggest continent of the world stand sole power among small continents.

The other three continents were not advanced in the magic skills and the livings. In this scenario the Athergale was considered center of power.

The town committee was holding most matters of this biggest town under its control. They wanted to eradicate bandits in order to bring some peace for the small villages. These villages were located at the outer boundary of the town and few were at the edge.

Today the staff gathered in the committee hall for meeting. They received some complains of the villagers. They might have ignored however it was matter of face saving.

One of the retired committee member was living in the small village and he was also facing problem. They should release order to eliminate the bandits or else the mysterious retired committee member would complain to the higher ups.

They sat around the big table. "Do you think he has the face to complain about us? Don't you know about his son? His son is useless and never participated in any magic competition." The oldest committee member laughed.

His deep blue clothing showed his position among the committee members. He was carefree because his son was earning him name through his magic skills.

After old age the family was recognized with the young blood and their talent in the magic. This was the only way to keep the honor among others.

"I know. He is nobody and the family would no more be able to survive no matter if they live in the village. Yet it is necessary to do our job. After all the higher ups give some importance to that old buddy." The second committee member shrugged his shoulder. His dark green eyes and the outer appearance were noble.

He was not interested whether the family could save themselves or not instead he was focused to do his duty being the reputable person.

The atmosphere in the committee hall slightly changed at the metion of his upper class. They were indeed responsible to answer upper class officials.

Nobody was sure why the members of upper class give importance to the retired Tolga Morgan. He never showed extraordinary career in the magic world. His achievements were not that high.

Especially his family background was ordinary as for as they investigated. "Alright I will issue orders to kill the bandits of the east forest." The committee member stood up waving his hand.

He has some urgent matter in the family gathering so he was in hurry. Others stayed there to complete some incomplete work. Each of them was given separate duties in the town.

...

Tolga Morgan placed his son on the bed. He was not expert in healing the deep injuries of the magic attacks however he was able to close the seeping wounds. The small cottage was enough space for both father and son.

After cleaning the blood Tolga Morgan sat at the chair. His stiff and grim expressions were enough to relate his anger. He knew that those typical bandits were not worthy for him to use precious skill stone against them which he hid years ago.

He thought to wait until Ken heal his wounds slowly. Tolga was thinking to use the magic stone for his son. It would be his last attempt to see whether his son can ever learn magic.

This precious stone was most important magic stone. It has the ability to wake the internal skill of mana that helped a human to learn magic.

Before his retirement Tolga found this magic stone during a hunt. The older senior of the castle was aware about this stone because he was accompanying Tolga in the mission back then.

Near evening neighbor visited Tolga. They saw him bringing his son injured. The old neighbor sat beside and sighed, "You are strong Tolga. I believe one day your son will be able to learn magic and tackle his enemies. Ken is young he has chances for awakening magic mana." The old neighbor knew that only stronger people could survive.

He didn't want to see Tolga upset either. Tolga nodded. He was waiting for Ken to open his eyes. The worry might increase if Ken remained unconscious for long time.

He was thinking to go and ask help from the committee members. The most noble oldie has the better healing stone. Tolga was ready to beg help from him in order to save his son.

"Indeed I have hope for Ken. Let's not disturb his rest." He gestured and both came out of the cottage.

After some time Ken opened his eyes. He saw the worn out ceiling of the cottage roof. The tremors in his head subsided, he checked his wounds. It still hurt however the blood was not seeping anymore.

Ken moved his neck slightly, he needed some water to quench his thirst. The water was placed at near table. He supported his hand and sat.

After taking some sips from the glass he was able to breath in relief. "Congratulations, you woke up from the deep slumber." Ken heard the unknown voice in his head. This voice made him baffled.

He was in middle to ask what type of place he ended up and why his magic was not working. Yet this unknown thing came to trouble.

"Who are you? And why I can't see you?" Ken looked around. He was curious if it didn't solve he was about to think that perhaps he lost his brain after attack.

"The fate grated you a chance to wake up your previous life magic skills in this world. Here is the date, take a look." With the voice transparent screen appeared in front of him.

He read through all the skills which he learned in the previous life. Ken asked, "Why this generosity?" There was visible tinge of tone.

"Your present body cannot learn magic and it can never in real. You are given chance after your tragic death in the previous life. You can avail the chance by clicking 'yes' on the screen or you can simply reject with pressing 'no" the unknown voice answered briefly.
