The upper class of the Dygate
A senior of the palace was very confident. His grandson had all the signs to become top Providence of magic in the entire world. Today he was sent to give mana test.
The senior was sitting in his small study. It was secret study where no one was allowed to enter except loyal Olon. The old Olon entered in the study. He was sent to inform about the results of the magic test.
"Lord Senior, your grandson has no roots for magic mana. The test confirmed." Olon informed. The senior slammed his hand on the table. The papers scattered on the ground.
Olon stepped back. He knew his master was angry. Griffin has lot of hopes for his grandson which shattered with this revelation.
"How could it be? He is my grandson. The chief lord would think my family is no more suitable for the Lordship of the eastern front. Without fresh blood supporting our family there is no future. I have to do something." Griffin gestured Olon to come near.
Olon slightly hesitated because the master was not in good mood. "Listen carefully. This test results should not reach second mouth. Silence all those who witnessed. I will think how to tackle this problem." Griffin ordered him grimly.
Olon went back. The master was seriously angry today.
Griffin started walking in the study. He was worried because it was the matter of his family. His family took the charge to secure the eastern front and they were considered nobles. He cannot let all his reputation fall on the ground.
After walking much he sat on the chair. His eyes fell on a document which was placed among the rows of many similar documents.
Whenever his eyes fell at the last mission which he did with the help of another fellow. It was long ago. His eyes lit up.
Griffin called Olon to bring the latest reports from the Dygate town. He wanted to know what happened with Tolga Morgen and where he was living right now.
In matter of an hour the reports reached his study. Griffin was ready to bet everything in order to save his position. Griffin opened report, "I want my grandson at the same position where I am today." He murmured under his breath.
After reading reports he was worried again. The son of Tolga was facing the same problem. Now it was more than necessary to make haste.
Griffin concluded that perhaps Tolga didn't use mana stone in order to wake up the mana roots. " It is high time to snatch the stone before it become useless." He closed the report and stood up.
There was no similar stone at least in his information. Also if he tried to get it openly then the word would spread. He called his trustable men to get ready. They were going to attack the village and kidnap Tolga.
"It is highly likely that he hide mana stone somewhere, investigating in the village is not suitable. Try your best to keep your identity unknown." Griffin gave instructions to his men before he led them toward the town.
...
Ken was not stupid to reject the chance. He pressed 'yes' Although the skills were locked yet he could unlock them one by one. Till the last achieved magic skill the system was going to help him unlock all of them.
It was something good for his senses. Al least he could survive in the new place. He was unable to suppress the urge to vomit again. It was not the blood but his disgust.
The cottage was not clean and lush. Kolblue was born and bread in riches.
He was stunned at the previous owner of the body how he survived such a place for twenty years without magic skills. It was all running in his head when Tolga Morgan entered again in the cottage. It was evening and he was here to lit the night lamp.
His head collided with another head. Both father and son spoke at the same time, "Who is there?" They could not make out of darkness.
"My son you are walking on your own. You should rest." Tolga spoke worried. He went toward the corner where he found lamp.
"I need to get some fresh air." Ken Morgan answered. " How I survived the attack? " he asked. Logically speaking the attack was enough to take his life yet he was alive.
" I healed your seeping wounds as early as possible. I am also thinking same question by the way. " Tolga answered. He was stunned at the tone, this tone does not belong to his son Ken Morgan.
Ken nodded while leaving, "When caring father is on my side I will be saved no matter what." Ken answered stepping in the open yard.
Tolga got shocked again. Ken never appreciated how tirelessly he worked to save him from the world. His eyes got filled with water.
"I am father after all." Tolga murmured knowing his son was not listening him.
At the same time a villager shouted to see many people coming to attack the village. Tolga heard clearly. He ran to save Ken.
Ken was standing in the yard when he heard villager. He saw few men running toward the cottage. One of them threw a fireball in the middle of the yard.
Tolga appeared from behind and pushed him away. Ken could not understand why suddenly people came attacking this cottage.
"Where are you Tolga Morgan? Surrender yourself or we will kill your useless son." They man with the fireball in his hand shouted. The villagers immediately hid when they heard that someone came after retired Tolga Morgan.
Ken supported himself and stood up. "You cannot take him when I am alive." He cannot let them take the man called Tolga. It was the first ever that he felt the affection of father. He didn't want to let them snatch.
Tolga got worried because Ken was already injured.
