Chapter Sixty Three: The Secret Magic

The castle and kingdom had been completely quiet since the altercation with the Thornbloods. The King and Queen had retreated off somewhere where they could be completely undisturbed by any distractions whilst they discussed what would be the best actions to take going forward.

Aurora found most of her own time was spent away, alone in her room, debating her next steps. She knew that deep down, the Underworld would have to unite together on some level. And she would have to do whatever it takes to ensure the Kingdoms future. She was willing to risk whatever she would need in order to make this happen, though, the altercation with the Thorns had left a bad taste in the mouth of her father, whose rage could very well shatter any hopes of a peaceful unity.

At the same time, she would need to prepare for her wedding. She was to be wedded to a vampire. To unite the Kingdoms together so that they could all be as one. And she loved her betrothed, she did even though he was another piece of the puzzle for her plans. Things would need to be as perfect as they could be.

" I should be happy.." Aurora thought to herself as she stood from her bed and looked into a mirror that stood equal to her own size. " I should be happy, for I am to be wedded" She cocked an unsettling half smile as she stared into her own cold eyes. " But what if it all falls apart..? " the smile slowly dissapears from her face.

" What if.." She slowly allows her devilish smirk to streak across her face again. " I don't deal in what if's. And I won't fall apart" she smiles again as she turns away from the mirror and raises her hand up to her face and snaps her fingers, sounding a loud pop that echoed within the room.

" You are

As though it was beckoned by her actions, a greenish fire began seeping from the ground until a emerald fire column was inches away from her, on extinguished moments later to reveal a rather odd figure.

It was, in essence, her lover. It looked like him, it has his presence and his aura, it seemed almost as though it were a spitting image of him. And yet, his eyes, pulsated with the fire of her magic, of her essence and that, marked him as nothing less than an crude imitation of her design.

This, this was a power, a craft that she had learned from unlikely sources. This was a secret that was unknown to most of her kind and this was, in the most direct of forms, an abomination of everything that her parents, her Kingdom, her Kind would ever stand for. This was an unbound, ancient magic the likes of which Noone had seen for quite some time. All, except, one.

" You will be my secret. You will be my succession. You will be the card I can hold above all others in case of the worst..you are more than they could ever hope to understand. And more than anyone can ever know"

Aurora's words slithered from her devilish smile as she blew a kiss towards the entity and it dissapeared. Why she would need this, Is something even she herself, wouldn't truly be able to know. All she did know, was that when the time was right, she would use it to her advantage and that it would be the key to her achieving her goals.

This, was her security.
