Chapter Seventy Six: The Prevention

Penny returned back to the cottage with more questions than answers and brought the books to Raven who was more than grateful. After months of digging, Raven believed that she was growing closer to a breakthrough, and these books would be a key factor.

Almost completely lost to time, these books once resided with the Lycan Kingdom, written by scholars whom had traveled many lands and yet, spent most of their time gathering information from the elders of the land. Whether they be false or wether there be even a small amount of truth within them, they were documented and not as heavily regulated as the Witches Kingdom.

Raven poured over them meticulously and discovered only a few things that would be of use though she did learn one thing from the books that had at least pointed her in the right direction.

Raven gathered both Ember and Penny to the main room of the cottage so that they could discuss what she had learned.

" So, I will not lie to either of you..the books and the months of research have basically gotten us nowhere" dissapoint fell over the room.

" Most of the information I have learned, has been scattered and mixed with false beliefs and very rarely were the ancients ever mentioned, or at least..mentioned in the context for what would serve us. However, I believe that I have discovered something that would be able to aid us in figuring out exactly what Ember is" Raven pulled out a book from beside her and placed it on the table in the center of the room.

" This book, and it's contents, describe that the ancients, In their own time, wrote thousands of prophecies that have either been lost to time or have never come to pass. And as to what these properties are, Or who they pertain to is going to vary depending on who you ask. However, I believe it is through these prophecies and the scattered bits of information that I have had to sift through That I have found our solution" Raven placed her hand down on the book.

" And that solution is..." Penny questioned.

" The solution is..that it does not matter" Raven answers which leaves the room completely silent except for a slight chuckle from Ember.

" So I tell you, that I don't want to know the answer to who I am. And after months of research, you've concluded that I am right? " Ember laughed even harder at this, mocking the sheer stupidity of the situation to herself. Though Raven does not share this sentiment.

" No, I mean that it does not matter because if you are tied to the world, and the world is tied to you, then that would mean that the world allowed for the knowledge to not be known. And if that is that is case, then that would mean that you do not want the information to be known" Ravens eyes dart directly through Embers soul.

" You are tied to the world, I am certain of it..and it is tied to you..and I think, that for whatever reason, you, in a sense, erased the evidence of what you are. Well, when I say that you erased it, I mean that the world erased it before it took the form of you" Raven proposed.

" And as crazy as that sounds, it's truly not. Because if, people were to learn that the world was exisisting through living flesh, they would certainly try to control it. And try to manipulate it. So that begs the question..why would the world take this form? " Raven begins walking around the room, circling around the table.

" I belive, it is because the world, itself is sentient of course. And the world, is aware that it gets reset. And I think that the world finally decided to intervene for a change because perhaps the world had grown tired of the same outcome" Raven continued.

" And I believe the reason that you have aligned yourself with us, is because we are the only ones who actually share your goals. But you are not a God. You are not..omnipotent. You might be the world but you are still learning. And I believe through several trials and errors, you have aligned yourself with several people in the past, to try and find the best possible outcome. And we, are your current best bet.." Ravens theory had definitely been an eccentric one and yet one that made the most sense to both she and Penny who sat quietly in shock.

" You are not evil. But you are looking out what is best for you. And I don't think you can stop yourself. You can't just destroy the bad and that be the end of it. Because you don't know what to destroy. So you need help, and now you have it. And before you say anything, I'm sure you are aware that I am not foolish. Our ancestors worked very closely with you, so you know you can trust us..but, I think we need to be completely honest with one another. We need to know what you have tried so that we can avoid making the same mistakes.." Raven had dropped alot upon the group and Ember seemed to be in deep thought on this issue.

" It would be easier to show you what I've tried than to explain it" Ember sighed which confirmed Ravens theory.

" Ember raised her hand within the air, as millions of images appear within the mind of Raven and Penny, exhausting them immediatly, making them collapse completely.

After several hours, they both awaken to find Ember, awaiting their return to consciousness.

" What the hell happened..?" Penny clutched her head in pain as she sat back up so that she could try to collect herself.

" Well that..was unpleasant" Raven groaned as she also sat up.

" I probably should have warned you but, I forgot" Ember chuckled.

Though they were both in a great deal of pain they now had clear images of times long since passed. They knew the failures of all that had come before and they knew how difficult the burden was now. It was far beyond the scale that they realized and this would took alot of planning to get right if they had any hopes of succeeding.

" I am beginning to sense that we might be in over our head" Raven sighed, realizing that even the time they did have on their side, this would be a completely monstrous task.

" This is what you both agreed to do and that is what you are getting yourselves into. But now you are seeing it with your own eyes and If either of you have any real suggestions on how to handle it, then I am willing to hear it? " Ember leaned forward in her chair, ready to hear any and all suggestions.

" I don't honestly have an answer" Penny groaned. " But there has to be a way and we won't give up until we find the way to make it happen" Penny leaned forward in her own chair. " I think we can agree that Kara and Gabriel have to be born. But, there love..or maybe even their selfishness continued to bring them back together. It would probably be in our best interest, to prevent that from happening. I'm thinking Gabriel.." Ember proposed as Raven now tried to offer her own theory.

" While it is certain that one or the other has to go, but we have to make the right decision on which one goes. We have to make sure we choose correctly because- "

Raven is interupted by Penny who finally had her own thoughts to put forward.

" I am not entirely sure that one or the other has to go. I think we just need to make sure that they do not end up together. It was when they were together, that everything fell apart. If we can prevent them falling for one another, and they were to rule their seperate Kingdoms then perhaps things would be fine. They both make excellent rulers though together, they are chaotic. And if we make sure that they keep their distance..then it should be fine? "

" We can't watch them the entire time though. What if they do...get together? " Raven argued.

" Then..we do what has to be done. If preventing them from being together is the safer option until we have to make that final judgement call then that seems like the better option" Ember agreed.

" Well..let's just hope we are right.." Raven relents. " Let's just hope we are right"
