Keera led Raven and Penny back to her home, which was in a far less than colorful part of town. Keera assured them that her residence there was with good reason.
" I tend to like my privacy, and staying in the shadows has proven well for me in the past" She explained.
" Is that why you were yelling in the street? " Penny joked which was something that Keera had not planned on discussing. " That was a disagreement with a man child who thought that he could steal from me" Keera mumbled.
" Well, we know that there is going to be an attack coming soon from this Kingdom on the Witches. And despite your feelings on the other Kingdom, we need to make sure that this attack..does not happen " Raven wanted to get to the point as quickly as possible. She wanted to gadge Keera'a reaction to their plans. She was still unsure if Keera was being completely truthful with what she had told them.
" And why would we do that?" Keera crossed her arms as she leaned against a nearby shelf.
" Because there are things that we know. Things that affect the outcome of the world itself..and whilst an attack, might seem like a good idea, it's not. If that attack happens, not only will it prolong the issues, but many of your kind will die" Penny knew the fate of the Vampires on Earth, and she knew the destruction that she had brought with them.
" How would you have this knowledge? " Keera looked to both Penny and Raven who were now trying to decide on wether to allow her into their bubble of knowledge.
" Because we are both Witches " Penny confessed.
" And yes, we understand that it seems like we are trying to protect our people. And there is truth to that. But the protection does not exclude yours. Or the Lycans for that matter. Whether you are sympathetic to what I have to say or not. But we have been to the Lycan Kingdom and they are suffering. And our own people, are controlled so highly that they now expect the Princess to lead them into a new world in which they are not" Penny looked to Raven and then continued.
" Your people want freedom, the freedom to hunt and feast as much as they can, and to do so wherever they wish. But that freedom can't be allowed without killing thousands upon thousands and that will eventually leave your people with nothing"
Keera continued to listen.
" So we have to find a viable solution and right now, we don't have that. But I promise you, that we will find one. And right now, our promises probably mean nothing. But we are speaking from a place of experience and we want to make sure that at the very least, we are doing our part to maybe make a world where peace isn't one sided, where it isn't defined by one side completely. And we need help. We need to ensure that this attack doesn't happen because if it does..our job in ensuring world peace is going to be so much more difficult"
Keera listened to everything that Penny and Raven had to say, and thought long and hard about it. She considered every angle and every word carefully before finally speaking.
" Stopping the attack, if there is one, will not be enough. Kings and Queens will have to die, and successors will have to be monitored.." Keera spoke with a calculated tone.
" Though you both may not know this, and though I have no reason to trust you, I will let you both in on a secret" Keera walked over to them both and took a seat, leaning back comfortably.
I am privy to the attack plans you speak of. And I may be able to stop..and I do say..may. Though, I want assurance that if I stop the attack, then you will do what is necessary for the regime change with your people. If that doesn't happen, me stopping the attack will turn into me delaying it" Keera looked to Raven and then to Penny to ensure that she was understood.
" Understood" Raven agreed.
" Good, now, in the gesture of pure honesty...who are you two? And I mean really, no lies, no stretching of the truth..I want honesty." Keera knew there was more to Raven and Penny. They may be witches but they were unlike any witches that she had known. In her mind, she wasn't sure whether she could trust them but their intentions seemed to be in the right place, however, this still went against the best interest of the Vampire Kingdom.
" We are witches but we are also outcast. The magic that we have, has been considered forbidden by our own people. And that is why we want a world that works together. Though, if you want to know who we truly are, I'm afraid you won't find references to us or our names. TheRoyak family saw to erasing our exisistance very quickly" Raven explained. She didn't want to give out to much of their knowledge of events and how they had come by that information but she also was not going to lie, and though this answer was vague, it was truthful.
" So you are basically ghosts? You don't don't exist? " Keera inquired.
" Yes, and we would very much like to do so despite how wonderful being considered dead actually is.." Raven sighed.
" Okay, well, if what you are saying is true. Then I will definitely help. I had heard rumors of forbidden magic..or at least a forbidden weapon that the witches had kept secret. Some said they were waiting for the right time to use it and others said they were afraid of it. And going by what you both are saying, it seems like they were afraid" Keera placed her hands behind her head as she stretched.
" I don't really care about what your magic is or how it works, I just wanted to truly make sure that we were on the same page. And I myself, like to stay off the radar. So, what I will do, is stop the attack. But if you want to truly make a change, I recommend meeting with the Royal family here and explaining what you have explained to me. If they believe your plan is going to work, then they will trust you as long as change happens" Keera leaned forward in her seat " But they will need an answer on the hunting, that will be pivotal for them to be your allies. And I don't know if you are thinking of claiming the thrones for yourselves or not, but whatever you tell them, whatever deal you make, you better hope that you keep your end"
" Whilst I wouldn't want to involve them..if we do need to put new power in place, then the Vampires being on our side with that decision would be in our best interest. So we will meet with them. And I do believe I have a plan on the feasting...since that seems to be our biggest issue so far" Raven placed her hand on the table and used it to pull herself forward in her seat.
" We already know, that feasting here is going to cause tension. And feasting on earth is also going to cause tension. But, what if, I am able to create something for your people? " what Raven was implying was surprising, even to Penny.
" I might be able to make something, that would allow your people to feast without cause any issues for anyone. But it would take me some time. But if I'm able to do it..then it would fix all of your problems" Raven wasn't even sure entirely what she was saying. She wasn't even sure if she could do anything of the sort to deliver on that promise but she knew she would have to try.
" What? Like a word full of blood or something? " Keera questioned?
" Something like that.."
