Chapter One Hundred Seven: The Delicate Matters

Aurora needed to prepare how she would handle the deligate. She had promised her parents that she would handle the issue at hand but she wasn't quite sure how she would handle it. They already gave supplies to the Lycans and that still brought no peace in the end. Though, if she were confronting the truth, the supplies were only just enough for them to barely survive.

" We have to offer them steady supplies. But that won't be enough. They will need aid in the future until they can rebolster their numbers" Aurora paced around the room, trying to add anything she could to stack the amount the Kingdom could offer.

" But what do they have to offer you? " Ember questioned. She valued that Aurora was concerned about what she could give but the Lycans would need to match whatever was given and they had so little.

" They need their pride, and that means if they can't give the same in return to you, then they wouldn't be happy with so much" she explained.

" I have a plan for that as well" Aurora smirked. " I will offer them a delayed promise" Aurora smiled. " They will offer the same protection when they have their numbers recouped. Meat, and other food can be given once they have enough to establish proper trading again. They will do so under the promise of the Understanding. But with the looming ideal that within 18 years, they should have made great strides towards paying us back"

" So you are giving them time? " Ember questioned. " And expect Kara to be there to recieve the benefits? I must admit, that is bold and forward thinking" Ember was impressed.

" Well, it's all we can do. And I hope that it works. But I also hope to discuss the possibility of open door policies. I want us to be able to walk among the Lycans and the Lycans here. That is the only way our societies will grow...to inner mingle with one another" Aurora wanted the people to become acquainted with one another. So disillusions had changed between the two Kingdoms.

" I am truly impressed with you Aurora" Ember smiled, revealing her true feelings for Aurora for the first time in a positive light.

" Well, I'm unpredictable, what can I say? " Aurora laughed.

"You are definitely something to behold " Ember nodded in agreement.

" So if you don't mind me asking, the girl, Penny..how did you two come to know one another? " Aurora was curious about the relationship between the two, she had been for some time and it was curious, knowing that the world's vessel was found on earth. A world within another.

" You already know how we met, you could see it when I shared my vision with you. But if you are truly asking what she means to me, that is a far more complicated answer. To..my current self, she is an ally and a trusted friend whom has the best interest of everyone, within her heart" Ember answered, as Aurora giggled.

" Yes, but to Ember..the actual Ember..her heart" Aurora turns to face Ember who seemed as though she struggled to find an answer to that question.

" To Ember...her heart..she is everything" Ember answered.

" Sure sounds like Ember is in love with Penny" Aurora jested, knowing the complicated concept of emotions and the fact that the world, whilst understanding of many things, had never truly been able to process emotions properly.

" I don't know. I don't think she knows either. But, I guess we will have to see in time" Ember answered.

" Well if we have learned anything from past cycles then we know that the love that is shared here, is often a horribly beautiful thing" Aurora had seen many of the cycles. She had watched the rise and fall of Gabriel before and after her own death and could not help but to think that in some way, nothing would have ever changed the story. Sometimes, things were just meant to be.

" You are not wrong" Ember muttered.

"You are going to lose Penny forever, if you don't learn how to control your emotions though. This level of up and downs, is the same thing that happens to Kara and Gabriel. And that, should be a good guide on what not to do" Aurora explained.

" I am far more ancient than any of you could comprehend. I existed from the beginning of time and my death will mark the end of time. Ember, has the heart of a human and that heart is confused and scared. And until we finish our work here, there is nothing I can do about it" Ember answered though Aurora scoffed at the reasoning.

" We both know that even if we succeed in the immediate issues, this will never be over. The goal is to keep you alive forever and set you back on the right path. And so this will never be truly over and the only thing I can recommend is to make the most of the time that you have to set things right. Let them learn and explore and figure out where they stand with one another"

" And what if they end up becoming enemies? " Ember questioned.

" Then that is the story that has to be told..because maybe they love one another or maybe they hate each other. But guess what? We won't know how that story ends until we read it. So let's just trust in their judgement. We already know we can't trust Kara or Gabriel's " Aurora squeezes her forehead, trying to prevent an oncoming headache.

" Maybe you are right..but I guess we will see as time goes on. When is the deligate going to be here? " Ember asked which Aurora shrugged.

" I am pretty sure in a day or so. And I want you there with me" Aurora knew she would be able to handle it for the most part, she did believe in herself but having Ember by her side instilled her with a sense of extra confidence that couldn't hurt.

" Of course"
