The time had come, the deligate had arrived in the Kingdom and Ember and Aurora made their way to one of the meeting rooms. Aurora had prepared her offer but wasn't sure what to expect from it. The room, was big, and an pink crystal sat within the center of it.
The Deligate had not arrived to the room yet, which gave Ember and Aurora time to discuss strategy.
" I already have my offer set. But I'm not sure if they are going to accept it. They are prideful and might take owing us things with a level of understanding in the interest of peace" Aurora explained. " The Lycans have been trying to break away from traditions for years but they have the issues of tension within their own people. And that has prevented them from making the full commitment. We have to be careful how we go about this" she continued.
" I'm sure that it will be fine" Ember responded confidently. The Lycans, much like Aurora had said, had traditions. But they were also desperate which means they would more inclined to hear reason.
And, through the door, stepped a woman, a commoner, and a Lycan all the same. " My name is Sybil, and I am here on behalf of my people to deliver an important message" Sybil found the nearest chair and took a seat which was opposite of both Ember and Aurora.
" Our King and Queen would first like to apologize. But the newborn Pirnce cannot be offered to your daughter. There was an issue that came to light that tradition forbids us to ignore" Sybil explains and Aurora nods.
" So we understand that this is an inconvenience and we have prepared an offer" Sybil looked at the expressions on both Ember and Auroras face and found no sense of concern or worry..even anger. This struck her as rather odd in light of the important news.
" We are offering you a 10 noble share" Sybils first offer was shocking to Aurora.
The Lycans, whilst following the orders of the King and Queen, also had meetings. Where 20 nobles would gather and discuss the future of the Kingdom. Though their decisions and discussions would be overuled by the Royal family, it still held a great weight within their kingdom. And to have that much say within how their kingdom was run would be a massive benefit to the Witches.
" What is the second offer? " Aurora inquired.
Sybil clasped her hands together, and placed them onto the table. " The second offer, is that you allow for us to not offer any heir, and simply accept that we will offer peace. That we will work together without the the need for marriage all together. As the way it should be. This world that we live in, is bound by tradition. Our people have it, your people have it, and we give away things of value to us in hopes that Noone disrupts that peace. But, have we not reached a point where we can take the others word? Your people, have starved us and have given us the minimal amount of aid, and I know that this is not your doing. We all do. But, we are here, still offering peace because at some point, this has to end. The world, Us, we have to change. And we can do it, if we work together " Sybils words, we're truthful and eye opening.
" Well, I won't lie, your words have been a revelation. And, when with words so elegant..we have no other choice than to take your second offer" Aurora smiled much to the surprise of Sybil.
" We too wish to break from the traditions and we understand that we have to change. And so, I vow that you will recieve your supplies and you will recieve any and all aid that you need. We need nothing from your people other than trust and communication " Aurora smiled back to Sybil.
" We truly hope that your people will one day be able to forgive us for the harm that we have done" Auroras condolences were well recieved from Sybil.
" Feel free to stay within the Kingdom as long as you would like before you return home. Preferably a few days so that you can recieve an escort and supplies to bring back with you" Aurora extended her hand out to Sybil who extended her own, meeting the hands and sealing their deal.
